If it was a seizure that caused the accident she's not gonna be able to shop for cars easily, a dude at work had to fight to get insured and his seizures are under control supposedly. Glad she's alright though

Yeah you'll probably have to work something out with a doctor, I had a friend that was deemed uninsurable until he went 90 days without a seizure after two in a week without any prior.

Hopefully you'll be able to get to the root of the cause quickly and it won't be anything too devastating. Keep up with your PT, follow your doctor's orders, and you'll surprise yourself with your recovery.

Sorry, I posted the picture of the accident site, the full story,( although he pretty much said it word for word).. on my Instagram, under the pic of the road. It's. Ashx7385. I'm not exactly savy navigating this forum.. I couldn't see how to post the pix.. but it's available to anyone who searches my IG name, it's public.. I've posted my updates.. now I'm glad some of you speculate the rules on seizures and driving... it's really not up to DMV or insurance (which I have under a business umbrella, I'll never lose my insurance) it's based on the neurosurgeon's opinion. . His findings and if treatment is needed. There are many types, and reasons for seizures. . I am in the medical field, I am actually qualified to answer these questions... hopefully it's nothing serious as I am concered with my safety, and of other drivers. (NO MORE ACCIDENTS RIGHT) LOL... I did find a new car actually.. a 2014 BRZ I'll have it in a few weeks when the kid gets his STI hatchback... it'll be parked in a shop, waiting for me 😍😍😍

Fyi, side bags do NOT automatically deflate in our cars.

They will but just much slower then the others. They stay inflated longer for roll over situations that need more then the fraction of a second of protection a frontal bag is designed for.
All airbags must deflate as part of the requirements for extraction.

Mine stayed inflated for at least 30 minutes before I popped it.

HMMMM, that is way out of spec for a side curtain. Would have to check with our engineers but I believe the longest time any are supposed to stay inflated is like 45 seconds!

So, I saw on my facebook group this weekend that the locals had a cruise in the hills, and one unfortunate fellow wrecked his car while on the cruise. When pics were posted of the carnage I came across this picture and wanted to post it up here, only because early in the thread there was some debate about air bags deflating immediately after deployment....and I cant tell you how long this bag remained deployed after inflation....but clearly long enough for folks to mill around and snap some pics. This may be the norm for at least the side curtain bags on the twins.
