email alerts in car

so when I get a new email on my phone and it's linked to the car via Blue Tooth it will flash up on the display, "You have a new message". but when that happens and sometimes for no apparent reason even when I don't have a new message it will go through all the emails on my phone and I have to "ignore" all of them to get the radio to come back on. so basically it's throwing up the alert and I'm having to cycle through a dozen messages before the radio will stay on.

has anyone else had this problem? if so what did you do to fix it?

thanks

just don't give it permission to access your messages and whatnot because let's be honest--the HU and its SMS implementation suck. my car only has permission to access phone and bt audio.
