My 2013 driver's side one is yellowing from the top and has hairline cracks in it. The passenger side one, for some odd reason, is much better.

I still question how the global platform is "confirmed".

Hear hear... The original boomerang looked much better (to me) than the later one with its fat individual LEDs - that one looked much more like something you buy off eBay (as do the taillights)

Is it possible to just use something like 3M tape on them to protect from the discolouring?

Or, here's a thought, the companies with the multi-billion dollars worth of research and development create a headlight that stays clear as well as one built in 1950.

The ones built in the 50s stayed clear because they burned out once a year and had to be replaced!
Since most of my old cars needed 4 I have bought hundreds of them over the years!

Now don't go confusing my rant with facts!

I've bought my share of them over the years as well. The last car I had with sealed beam headlights was my 2001 Chevy Astro if I recall correctly, which I got rid of in 2012. I think i only replaced the ones on it about 3 times in 10 years and 280,000 miles.

Still better to be able to economically replace the whole thing then what we have now where have a large percentage of cars driving around with "car-teracs" and barely putting out any light.

My grandson's Mazda has a bad case of the haze. In fact I think one of his plans this weekend is to attempt to use a kit to get them at least basically clear again. It seems to be hit and miss depending on make and even model which ones get really bad and which ones stay clear.
My Talon was a bad one but I just used one of my model building tricks and slapped a coat of acrylic floor wax on them ever 6 months or so. Made them crystal clear until it eventually weathered off and had to be reapplied.

I wonder if that one mine. Until recently I thought they had stopped selling Future in the US, but it's just under a new name now, "Pledge Floor Gloss with Future Shine"

Waiting for all the safety garbage tech they are going to announce. Subaru eyesight, lane keep assist, lane watch, advanced cruise control, stop start engine, Starbucks cup holder, AT only, reduced HP for emissions, all season tires, apple tv, 600+ lbs of weight, increased ride height, 2.5 door, it's now a crossover actually, rebadged to Subaru Crosstrek BRZ edition, limited numbers of 500000 units.

No manual.

Send a message via AIM to Racecomp Engineering
Other than the obvious stuff (motor, weight, etc), here are my big questions for the next BRZ:

1. aluminum front control arms? (as used on WRX/STI)
2. pillowball/rubber hybrid front control arm bushing? (as used on WRX/STI)
3. aluminum rear upper control arms? (as used on new legacy/outback)
4. aluminum rear uprights? (as used on new legacy/outback)
5. 5x114 wheels?
6. change in wheelbase?

Cautiously optimistic about this car, even with a 2.4 NA motor.
