Which wheels clear 17+ BRZ Performance Package Brembos
Hi folks,
I have a '17 BRZ with PP, and recently started looking for aftermarket wheels. To my disappointment, it turned out that those Brembos are so big that many wheels don't fit. On top of that, the available information about what fits was scarce. I even ended up ordering wheels that didn't fit — because I couldn't easily find any information that they don't I've decided to gather a list of known FIT (without spacers! 5x100 only), as well as popular DO NOT FIT wheels for these calipers. This list is combined from an old post by FT86SpeedFactory (thanks for the starting point!) and some random posts on this forum I've found. Feel free to post specs of wheels not on this list that clear PP Brembos (preferably with photo evidence that they clear) and I'll try my best to keep this list up to date for a while. Also please share if you know of some wheels that do not fit that might be of common interest (RPF1 17x9, I'm looking at you!). BRZ PP seems to have the same calipers as BRZ tS and 2004–2017 STi, this can be a good lead for more finds. Also attached is a template for "Brembo 1H4.6005A" you can use to check fitment. I believe it's for the "Brembo GT" calipers, not PP calipers, and Brembo GT's are known to be wider than PP. My understanding is that anything that fits Brembo GT should also fit PP, but I'm not 100% sure. This list is focused mostly on clearing the brake calipers. For other fitment questions (will it fit? will it poke? will it rub? will it hit the strut? etc.) it generally doesn't matter if you have Brembos or base trim brakes, so there should be more information on that on this forum, such as in the first three posts in this thread. Don't forget to use your own judgement before making a purchase — I'm just collecting what I find online, and I can't personally verify every combo / claim. Note that if one variation of the wheel is listed here as FIT, it doesn't guarantee that another variation will fit too, e.g. it's not uncommon for wider wheels to have more concave spokes than narrower wheels of the same model, causing issues on the hub-side edge of the caliper. Enough boilerplate, enjoy the list! In alphabetical order: 720Form GTF1 17x8.0 +35 DO NOT FIT GTF1 17x9.0 +35 DO NOT FIT (6 mm spacer might be enough) 949 Racing 6UL 17x8.0 (offset?) Only the "Crucials" have a photo with Brembos, and even then it's a tS (do those have the same calipers as PPs?). Can you please help us find photos of stock 17+ BRZs with PP with those wheels? Love the model names btw. |

I have Gram Lights 57DRs in 18x9.5 +38. They clear the Brembos easily and give more clearance than the stock PP wheels.

Speedwell RS-R in 18x9.5 +40. Fits with plenty of clearance! These wheels don't clear the OEM struts so you would need aftermarket coilovers to run them!
Speedwell RS-1 in 18x9.5 +45 will also clear the OEM Brembo brakes! Pics coming at the end of this week! |
