Help me decide Perrin Resonated or Invidia Q300 Resonated
Im having a rough time trying to decide which exhaust i should get for my brz. I love the titanium tips finish of the q300 (matches really well with my wrb brz). However based on some research i have done on this forum the q300 are very quite (almost as quite as the stock exhaust) Im not sure how accurate that is, since based on the videos i have seen on youtube the q300 sounds much louder than the stock exhaust.
In the hand, the perrin one sound is very nice and perrin has a very good reputation with their products. Finally the price, the perrin tops at about $1000 and the q300 about $750. Any feedback will be much appreciated. |

Know a couple of people who have sold perin's as too loud when combined with other exhaust mods The perrin is great on it own though. read the basic bolt on mods guide link below |

My Q300 with the rest of the system stock was stock, but slightly louder under heavy load.
Q300 with catless UEL and catted front pipe is quite loud, but tame compared to something like a Q1 style exhaust. Cold start is brutal though. Cops don't bother you, its loud enough but not too loud. WOT is another story...

If you're not going to do any other exhaust mods, go Perrin.
I'm not a fan of loud exhausts. I have the Q300, and by itself, it wasn't very noticeable (But it sure does look good!) I added a catless front pipe, and it sounded very nice and deep. I know run it with a catless UEL and the stock front pipe, sounds great! |

Exhaust loudness is very subjective, some people like loud some don't, and everyone's judgement on "loud" is different. Perrin 2.5 resonated will be nice by itself but combined with other exhaust mods will very likely be too loud for you, since you seem to be concerned with noise. If you getting a tune you can "tune out" the cold start noise but not the noise when you go higher rpm/full throttle |

Q300 is probably the best exhaust if you plan to run Cat-Less headers in the future.

Perrin resonated. Nice and quiet by itself, and just the perfect sound when fully done up.

I've run both exhausts. Q300 is quieter than the Perrin, but I like the Perrin better. It's quiet when you're driving civil, and loud when you want it to be. No drone on either. The UEL rumble is more apparent on the Perrin than the Q300 from the inside cabin as well.
FYI as well, I'm running a catless JDL UEL, JDL OP, and JDL catted FP and neither of these exhausts are incredibly overpowering or raspy. Last edited by 2016 Camaro SS; 05-01-2015 at 09:02 AM. |

Tee up some meets & have a listen to them in real life - it's the best way to know & be sure of what you gonna get. Personally I was one of those guys that wanted more rumble & noise to complement the car - I got it in spades with the Perrin unresonated, it's just beautiful. I never intended to do any other mods next thing I know I have uel ofh to complement the tunes & although it sounded fukn magnificent - Rex like even - it was way too loud in the mid-high revs with some rasp. So good also to think about what you might want to do in the future & then decide.

If you:
1) Prefer the way the Q300 looks, 2) May get other exhaust mods down the road, and 3) Don't want everyone looking at you then definitely get the Q300. On these cars, it's easy to make the exhaust louder. Much harder to keep the volume down.
