Borla UEL with Quiet Catback! Perrin resonated or invidia Q300
Hello guys, i've recently had my borla uel installed and have been running them for about 2 weeks with no issues. (First one had the bad case of grinding noises) Im looking for a catback that isn't on the loud side, but definitely noticeable. I am considering the perrin resonated or the invidia q300. Possibly a high flow front pipe in the future too, any suggestions? I am also running on the Stage 2 Vishnu OFT tune if it makes any differences sound wise.

What was the sound (level, rasp and drone) like just adding the UEL? I'm after the rumble, just not the noise (that's what my WRX is for ;-))

Sound level wise, you'll definitely hear the rumble around 3.5-4k rpm. But if you're just cruising around it's not noticeable at all, absolutely zero drone. That's kind of what I was after also, but IMO it's too quiet just having the headers itself, that's why i am looking into a quiet catback that will awaken it a little bit more.

![]() Have you thought about just replacing the mid pipe? My plan was, if the UEL wasn't loud enough, was to replace the midpipe with a straight through or one with a different resonator. |

no i have not thought about just doing the midpipe, But i have been considering different axlebacks and several front pipes also. No plans for the OP. Overall i'm set on either the perrin or q300 catbacks.
