Invidia Q300 vs. Perrin Catback (Non-resonated)

Guys, your opinions would be very helpful.. I find myself to be in a conundrum, it is nearly impossible for me to decide between the Invidia Q300 exhaust system and the Perrin Catback System (Non-resonated).

I have heard that Invidia Systems are made in China which means that their systems are "not carefully inspected like systems made in America." However, the price of their system is much more appealing than Perrin's $899.

Since the beginning I was a Perrin Fan-boy, but now Invidia is also grasping my attention. Do you guys know any additional information on these two exhausts that may show some supremacy over the other? Thank you!!

Having seen both, Perrin and Invidia, I'd like to add my two cents.

Both are very good pieces for the price. Invidia and Perrin are both pretty easy to work with. Perrin will win out there though as they do actively support the forums, which we also support.

Both systems have a very different sound as well. Budget and support are your biggest differences.

I have the Perrin Non-Resonated catback and have a friend who has the Q300. The Q300 is pretty quiet- almost as quiet as factory. The non-resonated Perrin is significantly louder. In my opinion, the sound volume is perfect- deep and throaty also. The Q300 seems to have larger exhaust tips with the burnt tip look.

They are on different sides of the spectrum in terms of loudness. I actually heard my other friend's SRT catback, which is supposedly "really loud", but my Perrin is actually louder. Hopefully this helps with your decision making.

I have the q300 non burnt tips they appear to look like the jdm tips which is sweet. Perrin was too loud and expensive imo.also my q300 came with a resonantir Im about to recieve my catless front pipe invidia tomorrow. Should make it a touch louder to make it perfect. Also i spent less than the compairable. All non resonanted cat backs will have rasp sound.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how happy are you that you went with perrin's non resonated catback? Is it what you expected it to be? Thanks for your post.

Sound will play a bigger factor in my decision rather than the actual price of the systems. You say that they both have very different sounds, which do you think sounds better and why? Huge fan of your youtube videos by the way.

10- fit, finish, quality, support, warranty, exhaust tip, sound, performance (refer to DSport mag- highest gains from catback)

I also chose it because I will be turbocharging next year and the 2.5" piping supports better flow. I'm very happy with my purchase.

have perrin, love it. i'd give it an 8/10 but 10/10 based on it's price for what you get.

Was about to give the same reference.. DSport mag did a great test & review on most of the major exhaust out there now. Perrin came out on top. I'm going with Perrin because I don't like mix-match parts. They make full header back and working on headers for engine back exhaust.

resonated 8.5/10, I think the execution is fine for DD, but for track folk the clearances were not favorable for a track car

Unresonated 10/10, perfect fro FI and track use, great fit

Both systems sound 8.5/10, more money can get you better sounding cans, but unless youre going supersprint budget, here you go.

Perrin is a bit deeper and louder than the Q300. I personally prefer the Q300 on a daily driver.

Appreciate the feedback on the videos we do.
