That's pretty much what any first time rider with no experience does, forgets the throttle works both ways.

I find that true with teaching someone to drive stick. Once you get them to realize that the clutch works in both directions, things are a lot easier.

I have hand surgery on the 16th. Hopefully I'll be good to go by time to take the cars out. Won't be shifting for a while.

It's a proven fact that if you are right handed, your ass is exactly 3 inches farther away from your left hand, and vice versa.

Thanks. These surgeries are not fun.

I had a Honda XR50 as a pit bike. Tall bars for an adult, stiffer springs, 88cc big bore kit and cam, big carb. It had like 3 times the hp then stock, so like 6. I let my brother’s friend ride it at my parents house one time. It was an auto clutch so just click it up into gear and go, easy enough. He went to take off and it looped out from under him and he just stood up off it. He was holding the thing by the throttle wide open in my parents driveway while that thing flipped around him and increased velocity each time the back tire hit the ground. Eventually it landed on its side. All my brother and I could manage was to stand there and watch with that “oh shit” look on our faces. We could hear hysterical laughing behind us, our dad was standing in the window just dying laughing since he managed not to hit any of the cars.

I had a Honda CT90 (actually I still have it, buried down in the basement - somewhere) that I let my wife's daughter (became our daughter) ride back in the day. We lived on a 3 acre parcel of land (I mowed 2.5 acres) and a half acre was dense woods.

It was an auto clutch, She was a stubborn 8 year old. She took off full throttle, circled about half the lot and struck off into the woods. Oh, shit, I thought I would be picking up my broken daughter and wrecked motorbike.

Before I could get to the woods, she came roaring out of the other side of the woods! She was still on the bike, a bit shaken up.

My sons were impressed.

Here is a picture of my sheds. The old shed (rear) is the dirty shed with the mower and lawn equipment. It really isn't on my property. The white fence is the property line. It is on our water district property. The building behind it is one of our two wells. Well, my neighbor behind us made me an offer. He wants to put his own shed there. He offered to buy us a new shed, demolish the old (from 1988) and square of the white fencing so he could put a shed there. I don't think I can pass up this offer.

New shed sounds like a good deal.. Not like your losing anything if it isn't really (either of ) your guy's land.. Is it actually owned by the water company though or do they just have a right-of-way?

Seems the forum has extreme constipation (again!) and has been straining too hard.
