The CRASH n BUMP thread!!

Hi Guys

I thought I'd start one since I've had a minor bump with my car... so here's a place to post your woes and your gripes with all the terrible drivers out there.... or with yourself for driving like a puto!!

So here's my sorry story.

The reason I don't have a sig or anything yet is cause after 6 days of ownership and only 650km a total prat drove his SUV into my front fender in the school parking lot.

My 86 is a DD and as such does daily duty running the kids to school and taking me to various business meetings. It even has baby seats in the back !! (Pics to follow)

So anyhow.. the dude misjudged passing me as he was staring at the car and drove straight into my parked car!!

Anyhow.. fast forward through lots of swearing and shouting and 3 weeks later insurance has paid out and I'm getting a brand new front right fender and a re-sprayed bumper... I know the damage looks minor but F%*K that.. it's a new car and must stay perfect for as long as possible

Hit and run last week. A guy tried passing me on the shoulder of an off-ramp??? He side swiped my car as he passed me, then proceeded to run. I got his plates though...

Bah! I would be upset for the rest of the ride home; and then drink.
Good thing it will be repaired!
I've suffered some scraping on the underside of my bumper, due to not knowing how low the car is! (That'll never happen again!)

Hey Matt, lets see those baby seats. I'd like to prove to my wife it's possible.

Don't see much (or any?) damage to the front bumper cover. They will only paint where the damage is on the cover and 'blend' it. Being pearl white, if there's no real damage, I would not get it painted. I looked at a white FR-S on Saturday and both my wife and I noticed that the front bumper cover on the car already looked slightly more yellowish in tint than the fender did and the cover over the tow hook hole was as white as the fender. Really made the yellowish tint stand out.

Yeah. Wait time sucks. I rear ended a truck coming over an overpass in late July and parts still are not here...

Its due to the different material of the fender/hood and the bumper. The paint doesn't finish the same it seems

First day I got mine a mom in a mini van ran a red light and hit my rear quarter panel. Bent the wishbone and jacked up my whole suspension. New bumper all that. 3000 later and 4 weeks later all better
