@celek
If you want that oil pickup to pick up more oil, weld a washer on the end of it and radius the edges so it looks like a velocity stack. The sharp edges are turbulent and reduce oil flow. http://s11.photobucket.com/user/yall...l?t=1227476660 http://s11.photobucket.com/user/yall...l?t=1227476660 http://s11.photobucket.com/user/yall...l?t=1227476682

Dremel. You'll need a grinder to radius the edges of the washer, anyway.

If you can figure out the angle the pickup tube is cut at, you can mount a piece of round stock to a gig at the same angle, into a lathe. Work the piece like it was round to get the OD and ID, and it'll come out the same as the cut. I'm not sure which you have more access to, a lathe or the laser cutter, but it's another option. That said, every hydraulic reservoir I've seen uses a slash cut tube, not a bell mouth. I remember asking my fluid power instructor about it, he confirmed that the slash cut is the best design, but I take that with a grain of salt. I just don't know enough about fluid dynamics to say for sure. It might be worth looking into. |

While that's being done heads will be ported cleaned up and assembled. Still need a header and over pipe though, and to build the Individual throttle bodies and tune it.

What's stopped you from going with one of the already available headers? Have you figured out what you're doing for rocker arms yet? |
