Houston guy here... If your looking for a bunch of nerds to eat oriental food, drink tea and go karaoke'ing with the Houston 86 club is for you. If your looking to actually attend car meets where people talk about cars and show off their rides then you might want to seek out local meets. Be warned though, most local meets (night ones) have close ties to street racing and kids being stupid in parking lots (burn outs, drifting, etc). Day meets and cruises have the best cars and friendliest people. No matter your interest the car scene here is huge.

This guy here.

There's a reason why he hangout outside of the car meets. Because we are actually friends and enjoy each others company. Help each other out on tech days. We are a close knit of enthusiast. BTW you forgot the regular Karbach brewery meets.

That's the exact problem, I'm not your "close nit" friend, how am I suppose to feel comfortable sitting down at dinner with "the cool kids" like the odd man out... Car meets are for cars, not karaoke and noodles...

TIL cars can talk to each other, and are smart enough to create a schedule of when to meet up with each other. And then drive themselves there.
