Arrow Aren't hipsters annoying?

I doubt many of you are feeling as passionately as me regarding this topic but I despise hipsters! It's annoying for me to see some clown get this car...cause it is the "latest talk"...instead of getting it cause they actually like it!

Worst thing...if the girls join in on it and it becomes a chick car...(note: not dissing the legitimate female drivers)

They really ought to stick to their 370z and G37s and leave the FT86 ALONE!!!

EDIT:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::

Since I repeatedly have to defend myself to every new commentor who find it time worthy to contribute to this stupid discussion...
1) I used the wrong word "hipster". I should have said mainstream or popular in general. I don't keep track of what kind of social groups do what... (or am aware of the rational behind their behavior).
2) I don't care what other people do or think. Their business is their business...I am just concerned about the car as this concept is something I really like and I don't quite understand (or I am a bit surprised) how popular it has (or is becoming) with people who are not car enthusiasts. Which in itself is not a bad thing...but there can be "ill" associations as well.
3) This post was inspired by the fact that the recent sightings ( 3 of them consecutively) of this car by me all ended up in surprise when I passed them by and saw the driver to be female and not the typical enthusiast looking kind. Although this is not true always, but girls ( at least the ones i know) don't care much about their cars...
It just made me think...wtf...has this car become the new fashion fad...the latest accessory to have? And that is fvk1ng all!

Thank you.

Oh every other kid in my school wanted those....didn't matter if they were into cars or not but...to them that was a HAWT car and almost a status symbol...

I wouldn't lablel them "hipster cars"...but most people I know who wanted a HOT car...opted for them...whereas some of the richer ones got a M3. or AMG.

This sounds like a topic for teenagers.

Those will probably be the people that will be selling their car when the "hype" is over

ahaha, G37's and 370z's aren't status cars. Not even close LOL. I don't know what those kids are smoking. I'm not hating on G37's or 370z

Also, what do you care if other people want it. If they want it for whatever reason, so be it. It shouldn't bother you, if it does then you should really consider another car. I got my FRS because I wanted a cheap, fun rwd car. Not because "this was going to be a car for only people like me".

When I see other people that I may not like, driving the FRS/BRZ, it doesn't bother me one bit. I can't be the only who can enjoy a car like this.

True.

Well, given that most of the population of such kids got hand-me-downs and crap cars...those 2 were the arguably most sough after brand new sport cars this was from a coupe years ago actually...and it was g35 and 350z instead now that i think about it....(the 37 made me forget the 35s even existed).

Also, I just used that as an example to get my point across. Who knows maybe they were not as popular as I thought. But then again I know a lot of people wanted the g35 back then. and the kids who were rich def. got it!

One thing I like about the community of BRZ/FRS drivers is that since this is such a "new" car, people who have purchased an 86 are all in the "know". I feel as if this is a tight knit community where we're all friendly with each other and we wave hi as we drive pass each other.

Sadly, this will not always be the case, as other drivers buy this car for other purposes simply because of its looks or hype. They may not understand or fully recognize why most of the earlier 86 owners are so into this car. Some of us have chased after this car ever since it came out -- I've followed this car since last January before production and I have a lot of respect for the twins.

My point is, we should spread and extend this tight knit community by giving other 86 drivers a simple thumbs up or a smile & wave hi. I'm sure they'll pass this along in the future. I sound like a blazed out hippie, yes I know, but it's the only way to keep this car special to yourself and to other people.

If they wanted a hot car that would be the perfect time to sway them to this piece of shit. Later on you can deny everything.

That is not what I am criticizing. I am saying when people get it cause its the latest hyped car...and they don't actually like any aspects of the car. Basically they get it because they see it as "socially cool" and think some of it will rub off on them...

But we don't need to elaborate on this, some of the members here have given a great sensible reply!

sounds like some high school drama

i think most people will pick camaro/mustang/350z/370z/G35/G37/etc over this car simply because of cost/HP
