Question Windows 8 OFT troubles

I currently have OFT running on the latest updated manager and have had the OFT working previously before and perfectly recognized by my computer. However now when I plug in my OFT to any of my usb ports, my computer doesn't recognize or even notice that something is plugged into the usb port. However I will plug my iPhone in and itll read perfectly so it cant be an issue about the ports. The OFT will light up with a mini picture in the middle of the OFT tablet however nothing becomes connected to the computer. I need serious help please!

I dont think oft likes usb 3 ports, not sure if you can set them to usb 2 mode or try a usb 2 hub

Check device manager to see if the device shows up, or if anything shows up at all. Maybe it's showing as an unidentified device because the drivers haven't installed themselves.

Well here is the weird part about it, I'd had OFT working previously before on this same exact laptop with windows 8 and it connected fine. However that was 3 months ago, and now it doesn't connect at all, same laptop and still windows 8 so I don't understand what has changed and now I'm stuck in this situation where I can't manage my tunes and etc since my OFT doesn't connect

Are you using the usb cable that came with the tablet? Find a different usb cable and try that.

Yup everything off the website that's required, 1.19.x
I'm using the cable provided as well and even refreshed windows 8 to see if that would help at all either and nothing..

I somewhat suspect usb3 not working right due way it was often implemented in early motherboards via integrated 3rd party hubs for cost savings, instead of missing direct support in early chipsets, as after all shouldn't usb3 be backwards compatible and be able to drop speeds to usb1/2, if required? But if it's for any usb3 port .. i guess it should be highlighted in documentation for OFT, as issue might become more and more common, with older usb version ports being fazed out in newer pc-s/laptops, resulting in much more often "TABLET NOT WORKING, BAD!!" reports in let's say 5 years from now.
