Showed off the car to family at Thanksgiving. No one can remember what the car is. They all call it a Subaru.
Just turned 500 miles (300 were from the drive home after bought it 3 weeks ago) |

Today.. let's see. Changed oil/filter. Thought about washing it (but didn't wash it). Bought whiteline positive traction kit bushing inserts, perrin transmission support, perrin rear shifter bushing, perrin front control arm brace, cusco shift knob to try out, radium oil catch can.
Wanted to buy either a tune and/or hotchkis sway bars.. tune won't work out for timing yet, and sway bar vendor hasn't been online.

Went to the Extreme Speed Track Event at the Streets of Willow on Nov 25.
I had a great time there. I was in the only BRZ. Sadly outnumbered by the FRS's.....ah hem....CSG Mike...... Anyhow. Once I finally got the tire pressure adjusted, everything went much better. Yes, that was me that spun out on Turn 10, not JohnB. SO for informational purposes, 36° hot seemed to be the ideal tire pressure for the stock Michelins. On a side note, coming off the track at the end of the last session, just about 5pm I popped the dreaded CEL/Traction light. I drove home like that and pulled the battery cable to reset. I'll see how things go over the next few days. A friend took some pics during the day. All are uploaded here: http://durkee.fbox.net/gallery3/inde...Speed-Nov-2012[/URL]

Had my dealer install the rear lower wing, the BRZ gas cap, the chrome trim on the front fender vent (fake), as well as the grey metal oil cap and battery holder and the rear bumper applique to protect the trunk and bumper edge when loading things in the trunk. Have the Kicker Subwoofer on wait list. (They are looking to first of the new year)
Love the Gas Cap Cover and the chrome trim. Love the wing as well, but it will look much better when I can get the STI exhaust tips that are larger. The the lower back end will look really nice. Soon will replace the stock tires with Pirelli Zero Rosso's. Don't want a turbocharger and never will. For those who do, I wish you good luck in the future. Now a supercharger is another issue. If there was one compact enough to not alter the weight balance (front/rear) and adds power at low end, then I might be interested. Adding power to this car above 5,000 rpm (with a turbo) just makes it like a Honda S2000 or Mazday RX8 which both failed due to the power all being at the top end of a high revving engine. A supercharger could (not for sure) bring to this car what would serve it best. |

Had some fun in the 1/4" of snow that we got, lol.
FYI, I wasn't in any danger if hitting the parked car. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2dJ9UaAJek"]BRZ in Parking Lot - YouTube[/ame] |

Since we just picked ours up yesterday we just did some driving today. Judging by this forum, we've got some catching up to do!
