Am I the Only One Who Likes the Interior? - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Aside from the lack of an arm rest, I think the interior is great. Especially considering how much the car costs. The seats are great, the steering wheel is great (Personally don't mind not having radio controls), the dash looks good, there are enough soft touch materials used, and I don't even mind the fake carbon fiber. HVAC controls kinda scream econobox to the touch, but really? Who cares? They look fine.
Anyways, I just wanted to know if anyone else feels this way. And if not, why? What don't you like?

I love the interior, especially on the BRZ limited (toggle switches instead of the Corolla knobs).

I am happy with the interior. No complaints outside of an armrest and better knee rest

I quite like it, its very simple and a bit stylish. Do i have to remind everyone the price of the car?
Its a comfortable place to be in, nothing that great.

Though that fake carbon fiber could of stayed in the bins...

I love the interior. Even though I hate red lol. I love the supportive yet comfortable seats and I love the button-free steering wheel. Oh and I love the manual seat adjustment.

I like the simplicity of it, less things to break and go wrong. The interior is incredibly well done for its price point. Unlike the civic, which has 3ft of room on that dash and enough space to put a second dash on top of it. Or the mustangs dash which was build out of left-over lego blocks.

I'm very happy with the interior of the car. In the past I've always leaned towards leather and figured I'd probably put the Katzkins in when I bought the FR-S. However, I've grown to like the upholstery quality, comfort and appearance.

I love the interior. It's simple and ergonomic. Everything is within reach. I don't miss an armrest either, as I drive with two hands. When I do rest my right arm, I place it on top of the ebrake. Works for me

I love it, the seating position is so good. Simple and barebones like a sports car should be, and it's going to age well because it doesn't have a bunch of modern gadgets and funky designs that will look outdated 10 years from now.

Me too. . not sure what the issue with the missing arm rest is. .

Honestly my arm is never resting that long, if it is the road is *TOO* boring since my arm is idle too long and not shifting

Seriously though toyota. .what the eff with the carbon fiber. . I have to imagine they picked from a number of one-off options and I would have loved to have been there when they decided to see what got voted down.

ANYTHING would be better. . and I hope the aftermarket gives us better options for those bits.

The rest is perfect. I like it spartan. I own a 2011 Audi S4 as well, which arguably has one of the most gorgeous interiors of any car for sale today, but when I just want to "drive", there's too much going on in that car. Toyota/Subaru nailed it for a "driver's car".

No you're not alone! I love the interior because the center stack isn't busy like today's modern cars. I dislike luxury cars because of that.

With me there are two issues. One, My driving habits are such that on an extended run I would find a padded arm rest useful. Two, just as I appreciate a door on my glove box, a cover over the cavity in the console would provide additional storage space for various items I would be able to keep covered for both appearance sake and also safe keeping.
