Paint on car :(

Parked at a hotel and got this whitish paint-like substance on my car

Tried a car wash but it did not come off

It comes off if I gently scrape at it and has a plastic-peel type texture to it

Talking with the hotel now about reimbursement for detailing. My question is: detail it as soon as possible to get it all off?

Or is ok to wait a week ago?

Obviously my biggest concern is to make sure the car is not permanently stained (detailing would set me back about $150, I could just pay now and wait for the the reimbursement)

Hang in here with me.
Rc car nitro gas...
I use it over any of the commercial adhesive removers and have used it to remove over spray. Doesn't hurt clear coat. I've used it to debadge every car I've owned including my frs. It seriously works.

I would get it detailed ASAP. You can get a receipt to show your damages to the hotel, and that will help your claim for reimbursement. If you get the money upfront, it may not be enough to cover your detailing and you'll be out of luck.

Think of it this way, if they're not going to reimburse you, you're still going to get it detailed - so might as well get it done as soon as practical.

Good luck.
