I know this doesn't REALLY count but I got this because it matches my Ashiko knob and is a really cool auto inspired watch.

It has a sweet knurled side and little pedals for the push buttons.

I am sure it adds some HP

Today I put in some Hawk HPS pads - front and rear. Had the rotors machined. Changed brake fluid to Motul RBF600. Dumped the Eneos 0w20 and filled up with Joe Gibbs XP2. Cleaned out the K&N. Smoke checked for leaks. Everything is perfect at the moment.

I am really happy with the car. I am still pondering what I am going to do for aerodynamic changes. One of my big dilemmas is that I don't really like any of the diffusers out there. Well - there is one that I like:

I sent an e-mail to after hours to see if they can do another and how much it would cost. Haven't heard back yet so I will try to call and see if I can talk them into it. I really like the way it looks and I can't find anything else that appeals to me.

Then, I have to see what I can find for the front that will balance the nose with a bit of downforce.

I just ordered a Driveshaft Shop 1 piece carbon fiber driveshaft.
This will be installed next Friday.

Spring is in the air and I am going to add a few things.

I am going to take out a few things as well - like the spare (free towing)
That should get me about a 33lb savings in weight right there. Should be a bit snappier in the low revs which will allow me to burn even more rubber off my tires lol

I am figuring out what to do with the trunk right now.
I am going to get a VIS or Seibon CF trunk and do some custom paint on it. I am thinking of doing some SWP with a ripped look / CF showing through on the trunk.

Will see

Pre Racing in pdx installed the DSS carbon fiber driveshaft today.
No spillage on the tranny fluid so it didn't need any Pentosin MTF2 added.

Initial impressions:

The car is definitely snappier on the throttle response. It doesn't have as much RPM hang while shifting. I feel the difference the most around max boost which is around 3.5-4.5K on the car. It responds much better to the gas being fully applied.

The car seems a tad quieter. I may have identified a different sound in the linkage and I will keep my ears on it but in general there is no whine or any other distracting noise.

Glad I put it on - now onto the VIS trunk and the underbody panels.

Upcoming work:

PRE
Putting on Hankook RS3s for Summer
Adding Perrin pulley set
Gates Racing Serpentine Belt
Pulling out the Racecomp sway bars and adjusting to loosen the car up a bit.
Too stiff! Wheels on inside are still lifting in high speed cornering.
Want to keep the car from fighting the coilovers so much by introducing a bit more adjustability.

Drift Office - changing out plugs to HKS - M50HLs
Refilling with Joe Gibbs XP2
Trying out HKS hybrid oil filter
Dyno and tune adjustment

Pro detail at Fresh Start in Beaverton

Here are my tires getting ready for install at PRE...

Yes! Going on today. Will have to see how these work out with the Rays 17x9 57xtremes (40 offset). These RS3s are a tad bigger than the Bridgestones. Tires are 255/40/17. Can't wait until this afternoon!

A couple of shots of my dirty BRZ with the RS3s on.

They fit with no need for rolling. So - 255/40/17 RS3s and Rays 17x9 (40) Gramlite 57Xtremes fit with no spacers, rolling or rubbing on my Feal 441 coilovers / lowered car. Nice.

Update:

BRZ is headed up to Drift Office soon for the addition of a Flex Fuel kit, Injectors, Pump, tune. Goal is 350WHP on E85.

I also found the perfect trunk. VIS just came out with their SS version which is exactly what I have been looking for. So glad I waited and didn't jump on their AMS or the Seibon. (Not that there is anything wrong with these - just not what I was looking for!)

Take a look:

This will be going on soon as well.

I will get some updated pictures after the trunk and tune + a detail.

Can't wait! This car is so much fun. I can't imagine a better DD.

I'll have to look-up where I got that LED kit from. They were just LEDs for the dome, doors and trunk. Adds a nice look at night. Thanks!

I never did hear back from After Hours - but - I am kind of over the diffusor for street use. I might re-visit later!
