I disagree. They had a bad batch, plain ANC simple. I have used their products for many years without an issue. I absolutely love the power gains afforded by the Borla header and when I received one with a warped flange they went over and above to get me a brand new one and threw some goodies in the box too. They didn't make excuses, they stood behind the product and warrantied it with no questions or problems at all.

Not only has Chris at Borla been fantastic, the owner of the company has personally joined the forum to extend his apologies and let us know that he would take care of anyone with an issue.

Now that the problems are solved, this is by far the best deal on a proper UEL setup. I'm not knocking RevWorks, or any other company for that matter, just saying that Borla and an affordable and reliable solution for headers at this point.

Now i'm sure JDL will sort all of these problems out, eventually, but it's not all roses. If & when JDL are able to supply a reliable manifold which looks as nice as that original photo then yes, it's the best one to buy, at least from a pretty/not_annoying factor. No idea on reliability yet, well apart the noise I mention.

Does anyone have photos of a production run header from JDL? The only thing you ever see are the photos you are talking about with flawless collector. I remember seeing a picture of a JDL collector here but can't seem to find it... it wasn't as perfect as the above referenced picture

That was probably mine. I posted a photo in the JDL header thread. JDL did offer to swap the header out, though. I don't doubt their customer service (although stating they'd void the warranty on the head if I de-burr it wasn't playing nice, considering the problems with the order).

JDL, RevWorks, P&L Motorsports, FA20Club, IMO all are good choices. Need to figure out what options want

UEL vs EL (you already indicated UEL)
Catted vs Non Catted
Ceramic Coated vs Non Coated
Warranty Needs (lifetime, 1 year, etc)
Extra O2 Sensor bung for gauges
How soon do you want it?

I know some of these vendors are on huge backorder.

I went with the Borla UEL because I got it for $579 Shipped. A cent more and I would have gone FA20Club.

The Borla's are not "pretty" however, even without tuning my torque dip was basically eliminated, and the car sounds amazing now. I actually get more compliments on how this car sounds than any car I've ever owned.

I'm sure the Borla header is a great header but it's also a massed produced header. What most people are getting at in this thread is that something mass produced will never be as good or as accurate as something that's hand made.

If you want a quick cheap header that will get you some gains and sound good, go with the Borla, if you're a bigger than normal fanboy who has to go above and beyond and spoil your car then go with a handmade header. (Fa20 club/RevWorks/JDL etc.) Either way I'm sure you'll be happy in the end.

Revworks all the way. I've had mine on for more than 10,000 miles and I haven't had one single issue. Not to mention that sound!!!!!

If I ordered a JDL header and waited for it I would be pissed if the collector looked any less fabulous than their photos. With the borla you know exactly what you are getting, and the collector looks functional. The JDL does have a merge spike that makes it look pretty.... but I am completely satisfied withi the performance of the borla and that is what counts.

i got a borla that was produced last month...
its a leaky piece of shit. check their facebook page for my video.
they refuse to do anything about it because i dont have the original receipt. i have all the info off of the box, that tells when it was made etc and yet i am told too bad.
the products are junk.

I have the Rev Works UEL, first batch customer. And i love it! flat flanges, no leaks, great sound, nice top end boost in power, extremely helpful and friendly. my only problem is that with my perrin header back (catted&unres) its crazy loud for street
