Especially for just daily driven, non abused, lightly braked, mostly by thickness of rotors left. There might be some abnormal wear, eg. formed deep lip, but that can be machined off, there also might be unevenly bedded deposits of brake material (commonly mistaken/called as "warped rotors" due resulting pulsation/vibration when braking), but those can be cleaned off and brakes properly bedded. More common for tracked brakes, also state of cracks (net of small cracks on surface is normal, simply from heatcycling, what to watch out - deep cracks throughout disk and extended to outer or inner rim).
Nice article on that.

I took some pictures today. Are these all vented, anything visibly wrong with them?

Well, well, how about I take a looky see? I'll gladly teach you hands on how to use it properly to work on cars like a man. I'm joking. Don't get your panties in a bunch.

On no... you got a bit of rust on them. Sorry bro, car is done. Buy a new one. Don't bother selling it. Pour some gas on, light a match and just walk away.

I'm joking.
Those look 100% normal.
If your brakes feel spongy or notice your stoping power is weaker, then you have worn out pads/fluid. Oh FYI if there is any problem, it's always going to be on the inside of the rotors/pads. Looking form the out side never going to spot it. You'll have to jack the car up or take off the calipers.

If you don't trust anyone on the internet( wihich you should) take it to any auto mechanic, Jiffy Lube type place, or even any auto parts store that does oil changes.

But really dude the amount of over reacting over out of warranty brakes is purely comical. But keep it up. You'll get the knowledge one day.

Those are vented. You can tell because there is a space in between the 2 braking surfaces. If you aren't going to the track, you can most likely continue using these. The only way to be sure is to take a thickness measurement.

^correct, though my personal preference is just to replace the rotors while I've got everything apart, they generally cost less than $$100/pr, so it's cheaper then the headache of tearing everything apart to re-do what was just done.

And i would avoid carid.

My opinion, replace the rotors. Could be a trick of the light but it looks like there's a significant lip (and therefore wear) on them already.

Lol I cringed when I saw carid in OP's post. +1 to all of this.

To me, they look OK. If the brakes aren't pulsating, I'd just replace the pads.

Do you have a good suggestion for part(s) if it's rotors + pads.

Is this a fair quote?

"Thanks for contacting us. I would suggest you change the brake pads and rotors together, this will avoid any noise issues from putting new pads on old rotors. The cost to replace the brake pads and rotors is $180+tax including lube, abrasives and cleaners we use during the service. The tires depend on size, but the price to mount and balance ranges from $100-$140 depending on the profile and type."

I hate how bad I am at cars sometimes

That seems fair. Theyre definitely not trying to pull the carpet out from under you. Couple hundred for the pads and rotors themselves, plus a couple hundred for labor to put them on.

Holy crap...

Canadian cars didn't have the option of solid rear rotors, so unless you imported it from Australia (or somewhere else that got the low spec models), you have vented rotors all around.

I just paid ~$250cdn for all 4 rotors, if you're paying $130/rotor you're paying way too much. Don't waste your money on fancier rotors, stainless lines, etc.

I'd bet a lot that all the car needs is front pads. If it doesn't see track or autox time at all you're probably not hard on the rotors, and the rear pads wear much slower under any circumstances (unless you constantly use VSC to keep the car going in a straight line).

Are the fronts making a squealing noise if you just super lightly press on the brake pedal? If not, then you have way more life left than you think.

I'd offer to help look at it for you (and swap whatever parts are needed), but I won't have free time on weekends until August.

These are quality rotors, and stand up to track use just fine. Way cheaper than stock and every bit as good.

Rear rotors: https://www.ft86motorsports.com/cent...ake-rotor.html

For pads, just get stock ones unless these end up being cheaper:

Not, they're upselling you on as much as they possibly can.

See his earlier post... $550ish + tax for rotors, plus pads. This is a $1000+ (pre-tax) service at the dealership easily.

I'll bet a lot that all it needs (if anything) is front pads. $100 and an hour of time.
