Need help selling FRS

I've been trying to sell my car for a couple weeks and only had one call on it. I live in a major metro area and can't figure out why I'm not getting any interest. It is listed with plenty of pics and below the price of the other Toybarus.

Any advice for getting extra eyeballs on my ad?

I would post the Craigslist ad but not sure if that is allowed

Well for starters I would go fix the pics in the ad. They are all distorted and misshapen. I personally was mildly annoyed after about the 3rd one and if I was looking for a car would skip over the ad pretty quick. They just need to be resized so that the shapes are not so wonky.

Being an auto is not an issue. I wanted to sell my car for one day, lots of calls. It's all in how you present your car. Read other adds. People like an easy to see and understand add. Much like dealerships have, clear photos, easy to see condition, and one price.

My $0.02

Also, I can't see your add.

The post on Craigslist is essentially the same as the one posted in the sell forum.

Is that the subwoofer on the back seat? Also what happened to the motor?

Retake the pics at standard angles. Ensure there is no blur and the light is consistant (no rays, bright/blown out spots). Also maybe wash the car? The front looks beat to hell so if its just dirt/bugs it would go a long way to looking nicer.

It's the mileage that's pulling the price down. NADA, KBB, and Edmunds are giving quotes of between $14.7K and $15K for a private party sale in very good condition.

To me the biggest issue would be the replaced engine. Also leave the backseat pics out. It looks like you have 2 huge white spots and the subwoofer being on the backseat (if thats what it is) does not look good. At least it will help get more people to look at the car.

No words will convince a buyer that your a cool guy who deserves more money than the car is actually worth, drop the narration, only talk about the car.

This.

Also, I find that listing the "specs" of the car, i.e. the information that's listed on the window sticker to be superfluous. If a person is looking at your listing, then chances are that they already know it's RWD with a 2.0L boxer. It's sort of like those eBay listings where they copy and paste the specs from the manufacturer's website without actually talking about the product being sold.

When I made listings for motorcycles, I listed everything that pertained to the motorcycle itself and included dozens of pictures from every possible angle in good lighting. A listing that comes with any sort of narrative or unnecessary commentary from the owner usually ends up looking like a sales pitch or leads the potential buyer astray.

If the car was really taken care of I am very curious what happened to the engine. I push my car every once in a while and don't want to have an issue with my engine.

I would also consider cleaning the engine compartment up a bit.
