(Full disclosure, I may be proving @Spuds theory right given Hardee's started in NC and I've eaten multiple times at Restaurant #1 in Rocky Mount before it was torn down, still my assessment stands! I've also eaten at KFC#1 and Chick-fil-a #1 on multiple occasions.)

I think it's safe to say the kids in this video alone have more balls than me.

Bought appliances online at Lowe’s on Nov 9. Lowe’s claim they were going to deliver on Nov 25 (day before thanksgiving). Nov 24, they sent me an email saying it’s been pushed back to Dec 9. Today, got an email saying delivery been pushed back to Dec 23. Fuck, I’m done waiting. Call to cancel the order. Waiting time was 2hrs... fuck that! Signed up online account. Canceled all my order. Took only 5mins. Check RC Willey, they have almost everything except dishwasher. Ordered different one which was extra $400, but they’ll have it ready to pick it by Thursday. Idk why Lowe’s gotta make it so damn complicated.
TLDR: never buy from Lowe’s. |

Same for Home Depot. If you can't load it up then and there, then don't buy it from them.

My Genki I second edition arrived today.
Been dealing with a lot of work stress and I decided I needed to try something new to occupy a portion of my evenings. This way it still uses some brain power, which hopefully will distract myself from work thoughts. Plus after making so many friends in Japan on my previous two trips, it'd be cool to eventually get to at least a basic level of reading/writing without depending on Google Translate, which while usable is less than ideal.

Thankfully I had thanksgiving at my parents house. If I didn’t, I’ll be screaming at customer service on the phone. Actually that’s a lie. I wouldn’t yell at the costumer service. It’s not their fault.

i've got at least 3 different independent appliance stores in my area that work very hard to take care of people. one in particular, my family's been going to for decades, and is brutally honest about anything and everything he sells/services regardless of if anyone buys it or not..

Should we have a tools thread?
About what tools we do and don't like? I got myself a milwaukee impact driver months ago, and I dont really like it. I got the hex drive bc that seemed to be the popular one, but I wish I got it in 3/8. I feel it looses a ton of power having to go through another extension, the more extensions/converters/adapters the more nut busting power lost. I feel like we could be trading advice and such and giving recs. Also, I have some ratcheting wrenches, a swivel head 3/8 ratchet driver, and some swivel sockets comeing for xmas from my dad, which I'm pretty excited about, and I just like talking about tools.

TOOLS!!
m12 or m18? Major difference between the two. I love my m12 impact. Been using an m12 surge impact day-to-day currently after it went on super sale last Christmas. It's got slightly more power than the normal impact(didn't need more power), but it's much quieter. With a normal impact, I got used to feeling/counting the hits to torque to what I needed. The surge is so smooth and quiet, I still can't get a great feel for it. But it's nice not having to worry about waking the dead all the time anymore In some ways the looseness of the adapters can help the impact, well, impact better. About 3 joints is the max that I prefer. After that it seems to suck up the hits too much.

Well, that sucks. I've never had an issue with Lowes. In fact we've gotten same day delivery from ours when they have the appliance in the store, and have always had things delivered on time otherwise.
