Yea, I do very little city driving and when I do its usually a small part of a full tank (I rarely fill up above a 1/4 tank)

Fuel economy wasn't even a thought when I was shopping for a car and picked this one it was just an unexpected side effect. (I had everything from the FRS to a ZL1 Camaro to a Corvette to a CTS-V Wagon on my list and several other cars and trucks in-between).

It just happens that 90% of my driving falls between 45 and 65MPH with relatively few stops which seems to be the car's sweet spot.

Out of 479 fillups, I've only had 8 that were below 30MPG. The lowest was 27.6 and that one involved being stuck in stop and go traffic for over 90 minutes on a road trip.

I can never get over how uninspired and tacky Hyundai and Kia vehicles feel, even the sportier models. I wont ever buy one. I will take pretty much any Japanese car over them.
Their Genesis brand is a joke A for effort though Hyundai Lol

Every time I see a Stinger I can't help but think it looks so good.

I had driven a 2016 previously and seen the 2017+ in person plenty of times and didn't think there was much reason to swap but after actually getting seat time in a 2020 the difference was noticeable, and its not just from being new vs worn out. TS vs Limited (modded) or not could play a role too but there was no doubt to me the new car was built better then my old one.
Sorry, I am not buying. But trying to prove opposite is pointless without numbers.

You bought it and if you are happy with what you have and thinking that it is an improvement to what you had, I am happy for you too. Enjoy your car.

Depends if 70 mph is sustainable. I can't keep my car on the cruise control. That is the least used feature on my car ... maybe after seat heaters.

Very odd that you're getting 28mpg on the highway at those speeds. I get over 30mpg combined 10/90 city/hwy, with highway speeds being 75-80mph. Highway only I'm around 33.
If you were at 3200 rpm with 4.1 gears, you should be at 3350 with 4.3 at the same speed, not 3500. Hard to believe, but given your cruise rpm and mileage, clutch slip?
My millage dropped when I went from 4.1 to 4.3

Even non-mechanical, small touches like the digital gauge that can show oil temp are welcome. It's a bunch of small changes, but I would imagine add up to a noticeably different driving experience.

The only thing I wish they addressed was the weight. The base FR-S was 2758 lbs, BRZ w/PP is 2813 lbs, and the TS is 2842 lbs. Would love to have seen Subaru release a lightweight, track-focused version of the BRZ. Something like 2650 lbs, radio/AC delete optional, and lightweight FW. Hell maybe throw in a clutch-type LSD and 220 hp/8000 RPM redline. Would have lost money on each one but would have been a nice gesture to the fans. That's a car I could see myself trading in for.
I had always hoped that North America would have the availability to purchase the Motorsports Basic editions that were sold in Japan...complete with factory FIA roll cage, no unneeded bits like A/C or Airbags or interior trim...came on steely wheels and with unpainted bumpers...

But I don't use mine the same as most people...LOL

Of the 150,000 miles on my car I would guess that 110,000 of them were on cruise.

I've owned my car nearly 8 years now, and the MPG has consistently fallen. Started with 30 -31, fell to 28 - 29, did the 50,000 mile service, then the recall 10,000 miles later, 25 -27. Stock from the beginning. I don't baby it, nearly always hit red-line every time it's fully warmed up. What gives?

Did you change tires? Stickier tires will make a difference.

Well, there you go. Mine has gone up over time. I need to update this chart but this is through May of 2019.

By those prerequisites you wont like any luxury cars from other brands either. The Stinger could be a nice replacement for the wifes GLK down the road.
