the best part about healthy food is covering it in unhealthy stuff. Surely nobody eats just plain oatmeal??

So, since a bunch of y'all are nerds and build computers like me: Anyone bought/planning on buying one of the RX Vega GPUs?

My dilemma is that I could pick up a GTX 1080 cheaper, but then I lose out on FreeSync. But then again, the GTX would probably do 1440p/144hz just fine. My R9 290 is still handling games just fine, but you know how it goes being a hobbyist, it's never enough...

Depends on what games you're playing, really.
My 1070 will do 1440p with 60+fps on most games.
Destiny 2 beta I'm getting ~120fps at 1440p (gsync 120hz panel)

I just recently sold my two year old R9 290 for $250 on eBay. Take advantage of the mining craze and get some money to put toward a new GPU.

When I was a kid, my grandfather would cook me up a big bowl of oatmeal, mix in some cut up dates, walnuts and butter, then cover it with wheat germ, brown sugar and cream, skimmed from the milk from our Guernsey cow.

Then I was ready to go out and feed the livestock (scattered over 200 acres), check my trap lines, pop a rabbit along the way and get back in time to catch the school bus .......yes, it was usually snowing and uphill most of the way .....
