This mod was on my list for some time now.
Funny enough I've purchased the neccessary vents (in EU no problem with availability) like a year ago  so the last weekend I made my mind.Like @johan write, a sharp knife, hot or not, is a way to go. At least for me it was much faster and less messy than grinding all the plastic away, although i use a dremel with a small sandpaper head to fininsh the sharp edges and round some protruding plastics like on a Figo's photos. Later small adjustments was neccessary to attach outer ring to the new inner vent withinh the correct distance so it will not rub and move freely. Superglue did the rest and voila I think it looks pretty good. Thanks @Figo for the tutorial.
