Yeah these things run very hot which sucks. The hood seal and undercovers are a big factor. They do improve aerodynamics though and they keep the engine bay vey clean so they aren't totally useless. You you think it's worth taking this off for autox or for track days? The only real way to cool these cars down is with heat exchangers and actual vents in the good but do these nostrils need anywhere into a hole in the engine bay?

I'll look for a link if you don't know what I mean.
I added on some door trim last night, I'll post a picture when I get a chance to resize it.

That whole piece could be 3d printed pretty easy. You could make a mold off that, or just run the 3d printed pieces. Looks about 8 inches wide and it could funnel down, up, to the sides, wherever you would find it most helpful from there.

Bet you could get a shop like grimmspeed or FT86speedfactory to put out a production part pretty quickly on this. They are pretty into engineering new functional products. Those 350z air ducts are popular, the mod is almost as easy as the perrin stiffis to do. Definitely an opportunity if one was a vendor in the BRZ world.

I think it'd be worthwhile for track, autox maybe not considering how little time you spend during a run. What tipped me going into the mod in the beginning was seeing Ken Gushi's own FR-S. He has the Garage Vary duct and isn't shy around track days. I'd think he'd plug it up by now if it was bogging down his sessions.

Updated the original post with some new pics including the door trim. I like how it turned out.

the door trim turned out nice! cleans it up a lot. but i think just having an open hole as opposed to some sort of "funnel/snorkel" connecting from the opening would be better. on a non-race car, a hole in the bumper still just looks like a hole.

Great point, a friend linked me to some brake ducts. Might be able to rig that behind the holes. Any suggestions?

The rounded side towards the outside the car doesn't flow into any immediate lines of the car, ever thought of changing that?

I agree to an extent, I think it follows the lines from the emblem and the indentation around that. Possibly could look better if that end was angled like the other side. I'll Photoshop it later tonight
