Wow, plopping down cash on a car without knowing anything about it - that's boss behaviour.

I got a supercharger on mine, and it drove and sounded really great (even though the shop had trouble tuning it). But fuel economy and that sense that something might go wrong is a bit of a ding. When I took it off again it felt like a different car, not a cruiser anymore and back to its high strung self. I still think the supercharger kicked ass but either way the car is interesting

AFTER I bought it I came home and started research. I read article after article about how slow it was and how it was impossible to even merge onto traffic because the torque dip was so bad. I then found this forum and went through the whole (much smaller then) FI section and planned out the upgrades I was going to have to get to make it even basically drivable. It was almost 50% of what I paid for the car.
Then I took delivery and actually got some time behind the wheel. It didn't take long to figure out that most of the whiners (for a DDcar) obviously just didn't have a clue on how to drive it or were somehow tricked into buying it when what they really wanted was a Mustang or Camaro.
I saved a pile of money and drove it for 150,000 trouble free miles.

That isn't what my wife called it!

No, I don't regret boosting. It did cost a lot to do right, but I am at an age I didn't care, and it is not my only car.

My car is very nice.
