Looking at some of the other pics, maybe either pretend rally driving gone awry or dropped off the tarmac at some track? See the little trail leading to where it rolled.

I finally drove mine yesterday. The best thing about coming from a Subaru is that the interior - my biggest concern - was more than acceptable to me! Being ergonomically perfect for actual driving helps one see past the basic-ness of it, I think. Only reason I didn't take it home yet is they need to wait for my check to clear lol

The dealership didn't even wait for my check to clear. They didn't even deposit it right away. LOL. I was getting worried actually on why it wasn't. Guess they just took their sweet time.

What color did you end up getting?

Meh. People who do stupid shit like that to begin with can just afford to go get another one. Only thing it does is drive up insurance rates for people who are actually careful/responsible drivers.

Oh boy.. I hope these guys don’t take their time like that! They said their policy was not to accept checks from any out of state bank, that they were making an exception for me but needed the check to clear. I just think their GSM hates me haha

It’s black. I figured there would be a blue similar to Neptune like the regular hatch comes in and would have been all about that. After the reveal I was totally indifferent about the colors. But since then I’ve been noticing this black e210 hatch around and it looks so good. Sorta became the only color I could imagine the car in so I was good with it.

They took their time, but they let me drive off the same day.

Get it PPF'd asap! Also, since it's black, you can wrap it in any color and it would look OEM since the engine bay will be black. So perhaps you can find a wrap that's very close to that Neptune color??? Get some paint protection while getting the color you really like.

If I 'knew a guy' and could get a deal, I might consider the wrap just to see. ppf just isn't too important to me, never had it done and never got obviously dinged for paint condition when selling or trading so I'm a bit torn on it. I would love the peace of mind, especially for bug removal. I think most of the damage I incur is from scrubbing bugs.

Everyone's mileage varies though, I get that. Especially out west it sounds like cars get sandblasted. If I do anything it will be frontal ppf on the 86. Maybe shoot for a 2-car deal? I just can't believe how much it costs. I realize I'm quite the outlier, being so into cars but caring so little about perfect paint. Rust is a different story..

I apologize in advance if this post starts a riot haha

Looks a lot like El Mirage.
And the low spot on the east end (exit point).
There's a bit of ditch down there that is exactly the same color as everything else around.
Someone wrecked a rental Buick there last time I was down that way.

I went a bunch slower in my van.

Oh, big time, if I lived somewhere where rust would be the issue, I would focus on that first. Whole underside treatment would be done ASAP. Then I would DIY any unpainted bolts that are easily accessible.
