The blue plug is a quick disconnect. I am pretty anal about making everything look good so I just put one in. Anyways, I have had some interest in what I fabricated. If anyone is interested, I think I could make a few on the weekend for a small fee. The more interest I get, the less I would charge due to material and time cost. This mod can be 100% reversible if you unpin the plug and tap in there.

projek_01 - you seem to know what you are doing. Although to be frank I'm hoping that somebody aftermarket will come out with something slightly more "official", so while its quite tempting to have you make something up I'm hoping that somebody will develop a manufactured/time tested solution, perhaps even something that won't void the warranty. This is no slight against your skills at all (as they are obviously quite good). Of course, my mind may change if the status quote remains for the next little while.

Its rather quite annoying why Scion didn't just do this from the onset. You got to think that its not a cost thing (since they could just use the exact same wiring harness as the UK cars vs. making one that is different in production), and as my fellow Canadian pointed out its not a legal thing either since so many other manufacturers are doing it.

Oh wait, I know. Because Scion.

What would the charge be and what would be involved in our side of installation?

Leasing mine; 5 years. Fully intending to buy it out, unless the 86 convertible comes out AND is good, or if the rumoured new Supra is out and reasonably affordable.

It's rumored to be a hybrid = CVT. If so, hello C7 7M/T.
