Isn't the bottom line of this that Tesla is betting on the residual value at the end of the lease being high enough at a max 30K miles that the lease price can be lower?
I agree Tesla prices have dropped significantly but I'm not sure this comparison is completely "fair".

Frankly the interior is even worse than the exterior. The exterior is quirky, but I like quirky, although I'm not sure I like THIS quirky. As a UTE I think it's OK. It's not a truck though.

Weight reduction to the extreme. In the long term, the car should follow Wright's Law and drop more relative to inflation.
