Put your VIN in the URL above using a full-function web browser on a PC. Once the page loads, pull down the menu of the browser and click developer tools. From there, click the network tab. Do a CTRL-R to refresh and record the incoming data. Scroll the left pane to where you see two items starting with your VIN. Select the preview tab.
Nice! I noticed my car has changed from "dealerCategory" A to F. From what I've read, the F status means it is somewhere between the dealership and port of delivery. My estimated arrival date slipped back to Jan. 24-30, from Jan. 18-22, so we'll see.

Ahh I didn't even see the "eta" field. Mine makes sense as that is the date I was just given by the dealer a couple days ago.

Although I have no inside knowledge my guess would be that these cars have so few real options, most "special orders" aren't anything more than assignment of already planned units as they leave the factory. Anything listed as an accessory falls into either port or dealer added as part of that assignment.

That's what Scion did with the First 86 units in 2012. We didn't get the first 86 produced, we got the first 86 delivered based on what was already on the assembly line that met our color and transmission spec. They then gave us the option of some other upgrades as port or dealer installs (radios, aero, 3m paint protection, etc).

Let me clarify, I'm wanting a premium manual in silver, nothing else. A couple dealers said no problem, MSRP however they can't control what accessories are added to the car. I know with other cars and honest dealers, they say yeah we add 1000 bucks in accessories like floor mats, but I think these dealers are just trying to pad the sale but still make it look like hey we're not padding.

That ETA field is no longer in there. My car is still in Dealer Category A but still shows the Jan 22nd date ETA date on some screens, but on some other databases it shows up as the Jan 30 batch.

At least in the US, if you look at Toyota Configurator, most everything listed as an "accessory" is either added by the dealer, or potentially at port. If it's not on those pages, its definitely added by the dealer.

They are hitting me with a $300 doc fee. Normally I can make them take it off but unfortunately we’re not in that position anymore, at least for the foreseeable future.

It's still there. If the field isn't populated with data, it's not shown. Some people see a "pre-sold" field, others don't.

With your car in A status there's no ETA yet.

Recently placed a $500 deposit for Premium Manual GR86 in Halo White MSRP. Salesperson informed me that I was 3rd in line.

I had the same configuration reserved and had 3 ahead of me as well and my sales guy said the next allocation probably won’t happen until March which made me feel like mine wouldn’t be allocated until months after that. They had a steel one on the way so I opted for that one because I didn’t want to risk not having it for summer.

It's like having a baby. Might not get the color you were expecting. Wait.

Mine was suppose to finish “processing” on the 8th and be shipped out, currently still processing… so I imagine mine has be delayed a good amount as well.
