Yellow fog lights are not illegal in California. You are just jumping on the wrong argument to bash CA. But yellow lights are stupid that is another story. Driving on the public roads is a privilege that requires demonstrating responsibility, respect for safety of others and environment. All mods on the cars driven on public roads must demonstrate these at least in civilized places. CA is one of those states.

LOL, you guys and girls in the USA have it easy with modifications and other "stuff".
One good thing is that all the dodgy modifications that make cars unsafe are usually picked up by the police pretty quick, which is good. Plus, you can go outside the regulatory guidelines by good engineering practices and having the modifications engineered by a licensed certifier and an engineering certificate issued. It's fairly easy and a straight forward process, some people still whinge about having to do it though, there's always people who don't play well with others in the community. For reference

Thank god I don't live in a socialist state that would smack me on the knuckles every X years and make me eat the cost/time of realigning my car.
I like having 4 degrees of camber damnit. |

I totally agree. I always retain stock parts, so they can be reinstalled when selling the car, so it's 100% stock when sold. Sold off a lot of them, kept the parts that will go on my '17/'18 Limited PP. Install nothing that cannot be reversed. I've done a lot of mods I later regretted.

Yes totally agree! I bought an auto and after a few months, I don’t know what the hell I was thinking! I still enjoy it and drive the hell out of it but sometimes I just wish I would’ve bought a manual. Maybe down the road I’ll own one but yeah...get the manual lol
