That's exactly what they did and it's typical. They would've disconnected the battery to break open the fuel circuit so your ECU is still relearning. They're either stupid, or lazy.

Wait. Your downstream O2 sensor was plugged in properly, right? I haven't looked up the codes.

I didn’t check it myself but I’d assume so. Only code I saw was the cylinder misfire one. Nothing else.

I can find out. Every time I ask the manufacturer a question he has to ask the guy that supply’s him his resistor wire. He’s been forwarding me these emails so now I have that guys contact info. I am going to reach out to that guy in the AM for more detailed specs. The wattage numbers they are giving me are way off what I’ve calculated based on draw , resistance, and known voltage. They are saying 4200 watts for the entire section I have marked in highlighter. Thank you for the help gentleman.

that doesn't sound like a very intelligent company...
for big industrial equipment, i would expect better documentation/service than that..

Usually, a kink in a fuel line would effect the performance of an engine at higher RPMs before it would effect the lower RPMs. I don't know where the kink in the fuel line was, but if it was also a break and in the wrong place, it might have been that the fuel system was "sucking air". Maybe it was "vapor locking" and rerouting of the fuel line broke the vapor lock? (oh, hush up humfrz and drift back into the 50s) In summary, if your car continues to run good, I'd suggest you adopt the old humfrz philosophy "don't worry bout it until if or when it don't run so good no more". humfrz |

Supposedly the original shop checked the spark plugs at the time, no obvious problems. Also brought the car to a 2nd shop a couple months ago and they checked spark plugs, coil packs, and vacuum lines. No obvious issues. Dealer also supposedly checked spark plugs at least, did a leak test. But I’m starting to think they only touched the flex fuel kit. Because yesterday I was told that they only had time to check the fuel lines but those didn’t have an issue. Then today they suddenly notice a kink...in the same lines they checked and said were fine yesterday?? Or maybe yesterday they only checked the OEM lines?? And just from that they determined that’s the issue? Other than the leak test? I’m not 100% confident at all. I’m assuming they unplugged the battery connections. So... is the issue going to come back once things are done recalibrating? The advisor did say if the issue came back he wouldn’t charge me again if I bring it in. But if it gets bad like the other day then I’d have to tow it again, and that was an expensive as fuck tow because I decided to have the dealer I slightly trust check it out over the one I’ve heard horror stories about in SJ... but that meant a longer tow than AAA would pay for. Anyway sorry to keep this dumb topic going guys.
