I made a post!! I really hope it happens!
I do know that Emtron is very nearly ready to release their option. They are working out the US canbus system but it works on the Aus cars.

every event i would ask their main tech when they planned on supporting direct injection and the answer was always "not anytime soon". I even offered up testing for them to develop it since they sponsor our 7 second supra and they still had no interest. thats why i went with an m150. now that m150 will be running my 2j, oem cluster and power steering

I sent them an email a little bit ago asking about the same thing. They replied with a blank email. As in

"Dear ,

This is actually very depressing to hear. How can a company that big not want anything to do with such a popular platform?

These guys get so much demand for so many platforms from so many directions, it's really not that surprising. Their customer service has always been helpful when I call them up with stupid questions. I just bought an elite 750 for my other car and am having Boomslang make a harness adapter for a Toyota 2rz motor.

Chances are if their universal solutions don't work for the platform, you're better off barking up another tree that's already invested in your mutual needs and interests...

Well there is only one other tree to bark up and that company knows it has a monopoly on the market.

For what you get, the price isn't that bad. Under $6k for anything and everything you could want out of the car. We are switching the shop 2j Frs to motec right now as well from aem v2. By the time you're all said and done with an elite 2500 or infinity you will probably be $4k+ into it. The m150 setup with the fa20 package our motec tuner built is bulletproof with no guessing or testing required

I am very surprised about the misinformation on ecutek that someone posted there, if someone knows an ecutek tuner that charges 1000$ for a custom tune please let me know as that would be more than interesting.

There's another company developing one in the same price range as Haltech. Hopefully I can share details soon.
After you add the options to Motec it's closer to $8k than $4k.

I could sell a full setup in the middle of that price range, with custom firmware that has more features than the fa20 motec base package.

Emtron is out. It works on US twins. It can run all the stock systems on any non-GDI swap, or a GDI delete FA20.

I probably should have mentioned that's AUD not USD.
$8000AUD is around $6100USD.

I believe they are also working on both? But that's interesting about gdi delete though that isn't something I want to do yet.
