I've been reading on the boboil forum and it seems the Toyota OW-20 is one of the best. I'm not sure if it's the best for performance/track driving but i'm planning on using it till at least 25k miles since we get free oil changes every 5k miles and they will use this oil at the dealerships. I might as well use the same oil between oil changes if needed when I go to the track.

Based on my research that is what I have decided to use as well even though I own a BRZ.

Im actually experiencing low temps in my car after switching my oil to penzoil according to the temp guage in the car. Usually the car sits right on the halfway mark between hot and cold but yesterday i noticed it was more towards the cold side and yesterday was about 93 degrees. Today i got the same result. I also noticed my car idles better and doesnt take as long to warm up during cold starts.

Then there's something wrong with your cooling system.

Not sure if its a real issue. Its not a drastic change but i noticed that the guage isnt directly in the middle like before, now it leans more to the cool but maybe its just my eyes. ill take a picture tomorrow.

thats where it sat before oil change and now that i look at the picture its not really in the middle so maybe im bugging lol

almost all cars are like that. i'd be more worried that the needle was sitting above the middle prior to changing your oil.

In the pic above: That's where the needle normally sits on mine.

Right, the mileage seems better now.
I used that oil also. It was the only performance oil I could find with those specs. I have used this oil in the past and liked it.
I used a K&N oil filter

In my area it seems rather uncommon for 0w-20 (southern side of ATL), however I have found a few 5w-20 oils such as pennzoil platinum.

Any thoughts? Slightly thicker at startup, car currently has about 4k on it so I want to get the factory fill out I just haven't had any time at all up until now.

I've heard that compression won't be quite the same (minor) running that particular weight and that I might lose 1-3hp which isn't anything serious. So long as there are no longterm ill effects for using this weight, I'll go with it.

Just switched to Amsoil 5W30, and my car seems to LOVE it.

Expensive as hell though!
