That's not real world numbers, that's just calculations. So it definitely will be less...
Give middlecoin a try for a couple of days and see how much you can get.

That's the kind of info I was looking for. I knew that BTC GPU mining was done for.

With 1 LTC currently around 20 USD, just getting 0.3 LTC/day would be interesting if it ran 24x7.

Apparently middlecoin had a better payout today, I'm thinking of setting one rig to hashcows and one rig to middlecoin to balance things out.

just gotta wait for my 290X to be RMAed and probably order another

I'll keep an eye out. Hopefully I'll have two rigs running soon, so I'll likely be doing the same thing.

Join the forum I linked, there's a lot of info in it, and there's always talk of new coins, and pools and such.

What sort of hardware setup? I'd throw together a box if it could cover its cost within a couple months

My issue here is the electric rate sucks. .18 /kW kinda makes a dent.

Still pissed I stopped following btc at about $20

I thought there were now dedicated mining cards? Are they not worth it yet?

Butterfly Labs is working on dedicated mining cards. Having purchased a BFL product in the past, I wouldn't hold my breath on any sort of delivery date that makes sense.

I'm hashing at ~8MH/s on multipool... mostly DOGE lately. Oh, and it heats the casa in the winters, so there's a tradeoff in heater power!

You mean ASICs, they are available, but they can only mine bitcoins which is SHA256, ASICs can't mine scrypt coins which is what the majority of the alt coins use. this is the reason video cards are still profitable.

having 800khash in mining power with video cards is currently more profitable than a dedicated 30Ghash ASIC miner.

My 30ghash miner (which was 700 bucks when I bought it) currently does 0.006BTC a day

where my 2 7950's (~$600 worth when I bought them a few months ago) mine altcoins at 1200Khash and I'm getting between 0.013 - 0.02 BTC a day depending on the price of exchanging altcoins to BTC.

Thought about it, but never did. Back when Bitcoin was about 50 bucks a friend and I were talking about it, and guessing we missed the boat. Oh, how wrong we were. When it crashed to 400s in mid Dec I was honestly tempted to go take out a 25k loan and buy as much as I could. Once again, hindsight.
