Question SoCal *SAFE* empty parking lots?

This might be a tender thread to start but I was wondering if anyone in SoCal knows of any safe empty parking lots to have fun in. Mostly, away from bystanders, businesses, or major highways. I'm not looking for a drag strip to race or cause any harm or damage to property. I was just looking for an empty place to have some fun with my car. Yes, there are drift days, auto x events that i do attend but unfortunately they aren't as frequent as I would like.

Before I get flamed or accused of putting others at danger I want to state that I understand the risks that go with this but I'd much rather learn in an empty parking lot than wait once a month for a drift day or auto x event. So, any SAFE locations you could recommend please let me know.

Probably not the best thing to bring up but I've watched the Drift Bible and listened to pro drifter/drivers talk about how they started from lots to events to actual competitions. Keichi Tsuchiya and Ken Gushi both stated that they started in parking lots then moved to drift events. So, again I dont need the rules of the road reinstated in this thread and if you disagree with my practices then please express yourself in a respectable manor.

Adams motorsports park. I drift my genesis there. Its safe. Just take off your bumpers so they dot get jacked up from hitting tire walls.

Want a full empty lot. Check.the balcony at streets of willow. There are no safe empty lots.

do they allow a vehicle with no bumpers to ride there? i'd figure it'd be a safety issue of some kind to not have one. But i have been there, its a good 1hour drive and dont mind it. bumper removal sounds like a good idea.

Its safe. You still have a crash bar. The bumper is just a decorative piece, its plastic. Learn how to remove both bumpers. Try and bring a friend with a truck or can to have him store your stuff. I.just let my stuff sit since its all beat up. No one will steal your shit anyways.

I went there last week. Its a short track and is pretty good for experimenting with this car. But i was hoping for a more forgiving environment such as an empty parking lot. lol

Its like $20 an hour to run. Tuesday grip night and Thursday drift night. Every now and then they do weekend practice Friday or Saturday or Sunday. $30 for 3 hours or $50 for 6 hours. Buy a helmet.

That lot is gated...and yep, the gates be closed. Moreover, I do see security trucks running around there a lot. ( I drive by the fairplex quiet a bit)
