Hurrah for a lightweight, high revving, lowish power car. Still not relevant to any of us, but this car I can relate and be excited about.

1,000 lbs lighter than an 86, 600 lbs lighter than a Miata, 11,00 rpm redline. Pretty impressive creation..

Lowish power? 350 HP is far from low in my book.

It is all relative. To Chris Harris, given the variety of insane hardware he gets to drive, it is lowish..

When was the last time you heard of a supposedly exciting car without 500 HP or more? 1000 HP seems small now for those vaporware supercars. 350 HP is small by those standard.

All the time. There are plenty of exciting cars that make less than 500 horsepower. I could probably list 20 off the top of my head right now. And if I tried, probably 50 to 100.
Sure, 350 is small "by those standards." Everything will be smaller when comparing it to the largest in the category.
If you need 500 HP to get excited about a car you might be setting yourself up for disappointment. At least on this forum.
I've driven 350 hp 86s that are more exciting than 600 hp Porsches.

Chris has always been a big fan of cheap fun RWD cars though. He isn't jaded by his experiences driving cars like the Valkyrie, Vulcan, or taking a spin in the 919 Evo. He loved the twins when they came out.

Super expensive go kart. I have a friend with a Smart car. Keep chiding him about doing the Hayabusa swap.

Stock those Smart cars do pretty good burnouts. The construction company I worked for a long time ago had 2 as run around vehicles. The higher ups would race them around the yard, it was pretty comical and scary.

I'd be happy with that thing if it was 150whp. 1800lbs wet and 11k RPM

Right? Plenty of juice. Air cooled, tho. I bet those numbers weren't measured after 20 mins of flogging.
