Some DH called in the car of this homeless kid that parks in our lot as abandoned while he was away and it got towed. He never left a mess, never got into anything(except my dumpster once looking for cans) , never caused a problem. Pretty sure that was everything the dude owned.

Yeah, we feel kinda bad for him. One of the other guys saw him walking down the street and said he looked pretty distraught. I'm curious who called it in. He isn't part of the disaster that is the giant camp down the street and always stays parked off by himself. I do know he has a drug problem, but hasn't caused any other problems.

Got off work early today, I wanted to go to local audio shop to see if they have Pioneer head unit and get it installed. BUT today I have my wife's WRX, so won't be going there... o'well

Update to the job search. Got offered a job for the Army H2F program as a S&C coach and I'm gonna take it. Only downside is it's in El Paso.

Battery completely died in the BRZ's fob. Only problem is that I didn't think the battery was dead in the fob, but rather the car. So I opened it with the key and set off the alarm while parked in the garage. I think that's the fastest I ran up two flights of stairs in over a decade. Thankfully I knew where the second fob was.

I have just gotten in the habit of changing mine when I do wiper blades. Probably overkill but makes it easier to remember and I haven't had a fob go dead since then.

You could have just held the remote to the start button to kill the alarm.

Did not know this, although I needed the exercise anyway.

That's just to extend the range of the remote. Once the alarm is triggered, there is a way to stop it provided you have a key. Normally, you do some actions involving turning the key and opening doors. In push button starts, that is usually RFID built in.
