Will the FA20DIT pickup tube fit in an FRS

I messed up major league.

I bought a killer B pickup tube online while simultaneously smoking my 9AM cigarette before my 3rd cup of coffee. It’s for a WRX.

Looks similar, but I’m not sure if it’s going to fit. If it fits, I’m not sure the sump clearance will be right. Anyone care to chime in before I staple this thing to my forehead as a reminder to pay attention?

- don't do that no more.

I don't know, but I wouldn't chance it.

I think the angle of the tube is different, it likely won't fit. I don't have a direct comparison, but I've seen plenty of FA20 WRX engines come apart with the Killerb pickup in them.

If you're willing to wait, I can provide a photo comparison on Thursday when I go to the shop, I'm certain there will be a KillerB pickup from an FA20 laying around- I have mine from my build that hasn't been installed, I can take measurements and photos

Pretty sure they are different.

Stay on Killer B trying to get a replacement. They completely dropped the ball on me.........then kicked it out of bounds.

Check it with your stock one before you go to install it. Mine was too long and bottomed out on the pan.

That’s about where I’m at. I tossed around the idea of modifying it. But, I feel like it’d be an annoying process. Especially considering I could just buy the right one. Lol

The angle is different, if you install it in the BRZ/FRS, it'll be hitting the side of the pan. It's a no go
I didn't grab a picture, sorry.

So for a definitive answer....
KillerB's webpage for this item answers the question.

I was thinking about it. Lol I also live in Subie heaven, so I could probably throw it on Craig’s or offer up and have it sold in a couple months. People around here love their built WRX’s & STI’s.

hey this exact scenario happened to me! I didn't realize it until trying to put the oil pan back on and it didn't fit! haha

Also the place I ordered it from was convinced they were the same part and told me to go fuck myself.
