Very doable. I put about 7000 miles of road tripping on my car within the first six months of owning it. All the way across the country, from Delaware to Las Vegas. Then Vegas to Wichita Falls, TX, then back to Vegas.

I will say that SLC to Vegas is boring as hell except for one short stretch through canyons in Arizona, but that's always under construction. The speed limit through Utah is 80, and stick to it. The highway patrol is all over I-15.

South of Vegas, pull off on Hwy 138 just south of Victorville, CA. Take that west to Hwy 2 (about 10-15 miles off I-15) and take Hwy 2 through Angeles Forest. It's about 60 miles of super curvy fun roads. It puts you out in La Canada/Flintridge. This is well worth the detour.

Give a heads-up so the PNW crew can roll out the red carpet for you.

If you're stopping in Vegas hit the local 86 crew. I am sure some of the guys will show you a good time.
I'll definitely be spending a few days in LA.

did you stop for any servicing on your car during the trip? I'm definitely looking for some nice curvy roads!. and just checked, 80 mph is like 130 kmph so i should be good. speed limit on the highways here are all like 110kmph

That was two separate trips. I changed the oil after I got to Vegas, when I hit 7500 miles. Then a month later I went to Texas and back. If I was doing a road trip of more than 7500 miles at one time, I would schedule an oil change at a Toyota or Subaru dealer along the way. If it was less than 7500, I'd just do my own oil change right before and right after the trip.

An 80 mph speed limit is deceptive. People who will do 85-90 in a 70 all of a sudden slow down to 78 when the limit goes up to 80. I think the higher legal limit psyches them out a bit. If you stick to 130-135 kph you'll be fine.

Definitely look at mountain roads around LA while you're there. There are a lot to choose from. Make sure you watch for bicycles though; they're very popular in that area. And cops. They're less popular.

I've never driven over the Rockies, but I'm not sure I'd want to drive for such long stretches uphill at elevation. The continuous high revs seem like they'd be pretty tiring. How long does it take to cross from Edmonton to Vancouver?

Is this Google Maps? How did you make it plan out a round trip like that?

Driving through the Rockies is fine and not as steep as you think. Keep in mind that tour buses drive here all the time. I'd probably be driving most of it in 5th.

Edmonton to Vancouver is i think about 12 hours. Although i might bypass Vancouver since i've been there many times.

Yes it's google maps. Just get directions to a certain place and then press the (+) button to add more places.

She has a 2013 Club Power Hard Top Miata, but she really liked the FR-S. It is funny how many people complain about the power, but when she drove the FR-S, she was like OMG it has so much power! I am so in love with this car.

Thank You for Reading.
Its the best car in the world the only thing is these bigger bulkier cars on the road make the road worse for the beautiful FR-S.

The simple fact is, despite what the racer-bois say, the FR-S/BRZ IS a fast car, and the output of the FA20 is dang impressive, given it's small displacement and the overall weight of the car.

Put into perspective, the 0-60 & quarter-mile acceleration of my 2013 FR-S is almost identical to that of the 1994 4th-gen Z28 I once owned, despite that car's very torquey 5.7-liter LT-1. That too was a fast car, and no one ever complained that it was underpowered.

And unlike the Z28, the FR-S can carry it's speed through the corners with little concern of plowing off the road or swapping ends.

"my car is slow i can't merge with the highway..i need a turbo to make it have 300hp"

you can probably hit the on ramp at double the speed limit and then by the time you reach traffic you will be going 70+mph....that's over the speed limit already in the States...seems like people need to learn how to drive this car before thinking it needs more power
then why do normalish people buy ss camaros, 5.0's, M3's, Hemi's and wont track them either? why not get the slower counterparts you know?

It's like buying an powerful camera, computer, smartphone bragging rights simply but do you really get to use all that power. Not knocking on everyone as my coworker of mines who owns a 16 Challenger RT he loves the low end torque of American muscle.

And more power makes it even more fun, assuming you're not adding weight or something to mess up the handling
