Cup holders

It seems like the placement is ideal for a drink spilled all over the backseat if you shift to 4th gear. They look removable, which I will probably do, I just don't understand the design.

Cup holders amaze me. Who needs to drink in their car?

I do. Gotta stay hydrated. My cupholders are similarly placed aft of the shifter, so I usually just toss my water bottle in the passenger seat.

You don't know poor cupholder placement until you've driven a Miata. Cupholder is a phone holder, passenger seat is for my water bottle.

It is pretty obvious, get a cup and fill 3/4 of water. Place it in the cup holder and the intention not spill a drop of water while drifting. Make sure the water swirls when drifting the corners.

I think the same applies for 94-99 celicas. It's a complete bitch to try and have a drink in those pull-out cup holders and try to shift without hitting them, it's a joke.
