GT86/FRS/BRZ the new 240sx?

So I'm starting to see that a lot of the FT 86 twins are pretty much interchangeable. Just like with 240's, in time we will be seeing different front end swaps; eg brz->frs and vice versa.

Pretty soon we will see this car with wild engine swaps, crazy drift fitment, etc.,

It's nice that FINALLY a new RWD car has come out for the enthusiasts.

Thoughts?

More than just this car, I hope to see a whole BUNCH of cars like this one from other manufacturers come out. A low priced RWD nissan, the genesis coupe on diet, a cheaper miata.

Would be a nice Renaissance of import tuning instead of everyone just trying to build wannabe Mustangs.

THe only thing that is different is that 240's and such..are cheap as piss.

These aren't exactly cheap to mod out/repair.

I agree! But as more people challenge their limits on the public road, we will see more oem parts available. I'm just happy to see so many options. Unlike my 370z, aftermarket support came very slowly and at a cost.

well if anything its more like the skystice in that regard considering that they are the same fundamental car that was released at the same time. this isnt the first time this kind of thing has happened and it hasnt lead to all the crazy 240ness before so i doubt it
