I did that with the 30 minute Le Mans race. With 8 minutes left, I spun in the rain (in two separate races). I should have kept going and just collected what ever money I would have gotten in what ever position I would have ended up in.

What's worse is in the one Human Comedy race I actually did, I never even got past 5th place in any point in the race. I honestly don't know how a Taycan "refuels" and why it's so fast when it's trash when I used it in the past.

Love the 30 minute Le Mans race! 825k cr if you get the clean race bonus. That's substantial! Beat it on Saturday with a modded Ford GT. I had to pit every 2 laps (looks like the AI pitted every 3-4 laps) but when you have 700 hp vs the 400 (I'm guessing) from all those Gr4 cars its easy to make up the difference on a fast track like that.

Also that race's definition of "clean race" seems to be pretty lenient. I blew the braking zone for the 2nd Mulsanne straight chicane 2-3 times (ended up going almost straight across the sand pits) and I still got clean race bonus

As long as you don't crash into the walls or ram an AI into the shadow realm, it should be a clean race. I've rear ended the AI a few times since they keep brake checking me on the straights, and I've received clean races.

For that specific Le Mans race? I think every race may be different in terms of what it considers clean.

Claimed one of my 6-star tickets. Recorded it in case of a disappointment, but it actually gave me the 10 gold bars (1 million CR).

I did the exact same at roughly the same exact time of day (assuming you posted not long after you got it.) I can go for more of those.

I really like the WTC 700 LeMans race as a means to grind for cash. I can see using a ton of different cars to do that race. Are there any other new races like that? I'd look around more but I have regular PS4 and cycling through all the tracks to see takes forever haha.

Yup, posted that right after I claimed it.

As for the new races, I believe there are only 3 total as of right now, at least that I've noticed. A 12-lap race at Tokyo, where your car has to be no more than 600 PP, and can also have rain. Then there is the 15-lap race at Sardegna Road, also can have rain. I forget the PP rating, might be 700PP as like Le Mans. This was the first one I did, and I did it a few times with the CLK LM. It has a lower payout compared to the other two.

I haven't done the Tokyo one yet since I haven't found a suitable car, and I refuse to use the SRT Tomahawk. I don't want these cash grinds to get boring.

So sorry guys, I was not able to make it into our first practice/race, completely forgot my best friend was having a whole weekend bachelor party. All I got out of it was bruises from paintball and some body aches.

Loving the new payouts and rewards. Currently in the GTR menu which is a ton of fun if I completely buff out the R32, its a very angry car.

One thing I'm not a complete fan off is the fact that every race I start dead last, and you basically have to be very patient until the last 2 laps. The closer you get to podium the more likely is to get spun out by the AI.

IDK how my wife keep pulling cars in the tickets. Last night she pulled La Ferrari from 6 star ticket... so that makes 4 cars she pulled. I pulled ZERO cars.

How many chilis is that one?

I am avoiding the actually challenging races until I at least figure out tuning. I'm also hopeful that they improve the grip/physics further (not holding my breath on that one) to make driving RWD cars without aids more.. reasonable.

I was really surprised when I first tried the Tsukuba 550pp clubman cup+. It's a grid start and I couldn't manage better than 4th. I was using a crudely tuned GR86. I can probably get a little quicker but I'm not seeing a W possible for me there with that car. I wonder if the AI actually abides by the PP limit? There wasn't a single car that didn't blast off the line 2X faster than me in the start, another GR86 included.

It doesn't seem like there is much need for the fancy new machine-learning AI based on what I saw from the AI in that race. Completely unlike everywhere else in the game. I don't even think they slammed on the brakes as they exited turns!

This is signature Gran Turismo single player racing. Traffic passing simulator. I get why they do it. I hoped they would get away from it in GT7, at least later in the game. It's nothing like actual racing and reinforces all sorts of bad behaviors. Anyhow there are harder/more realistic events available.
