Why is that? Nobody that still has crickets on a new pump has confirmed that the revised pump was installed on their car instead of a pump the dealer already had sitting in the parts department.

The people that have confirmed receiving the revised pump aren't experiencing the sound anymore. It's hard to tell if the sound will return, but for now, it's looking good with one person having 1700+ miles on the revised pump.

I'm going to go to my dealer today and have them order the revised pump. I'm also going to confirm the green dot or whatever indication they put on the box before I let them install it.

New '13 FRS, April build date, chirp has started since 200 miles on the car (picked up at 7), on the first fill up. Needless to say, slightly annoyed...

The second one was built in April, AFTER the "green dot" pump became the new "fix".

Anecdotally: My crickets are quieter than ever, 11k miles, 12/12 build date, only E10 91 octane and original pump.

HPFP Cricket

Mine is being replaced right now. I'll get with the service writer for the box the new part is coming from.

FRS with 1300 miles. Addressing multiple noises today. The pump, the a/c chirp, and the 1/2/3 shifting moan.

Mine was dropped off at the dealer this morning, they are going to "DIAGNOSE" the problem, I printed out the TSB and showed it to them, they agreed that they noise matched the TSB

Waiting on a call from them

I got the car a month ago 2544 miles on it

Annnnd guess what's back? About 350 miles and the crickets have arrived.

What's interesting is this was my first fill up using 93. About 25 miles in.

Sooo even though I told the dealer exactly what needed to be replaced and why. It took them 3 hours to "diagnose" that it was the HPFP which they don't have in stock, but they will have it tomorrow morning. Looks like I'm gonna be cruising in the rental... a Yaris...

To make things more annoying I just got my all of these in today and have to wait to install them =(
