Yep, 800. I'll give that a try. I'll just have to time the change of tires to intermediate really well when driving on the RB ring as it rains on lap 6-7.

It's hit or miss. I did that race 3 times I think. One had no rain. Another had light rain. And the other had enough rain for full wets, which I did not have.

Events where a nerfed LMP/Group C car is the best choice seems really dumb to me. But c'est la vie these days with GT...
Was a busy weekend with Manufacturer's Cup & Gazoo Racing Series. Managed to finish 2nd in the Manny race at Trial Mountain (I'm driving for AMG, naturally). The Gr.3 AMG is an understeering pig but I managed to make it work (on the 3rd attempt, LOL). Gazoo Racing was 2020 Supras on SH tires around Fuji. Not easy, yet somehow I managed to take pole and then lead from Green to Checker! First time ever winning a "series" race and first time ever getting pole in the same!

I'm about to drive the absolute living crap out of that McLaren MP4/4. Couldn't care less if I have to put money into it.

Eh, I don't particularly care for any of the 3 cars in this month's release batch.

The other 3 are meh. Porsche's handle like sht in this game for some reason so its whatever. The MP4/4 is because I'm a Senna fanboy. Even though I've driven in just about every other game that has had such DLC.

I feel like the Porsches' handling has improved over the last few months (think it was an update 2-3 months ago). Meanwhile the GT4 Clubsport has always handled well. And the street GT4 is literally the same car (minus the weight reduction a race car has). I think it'll be a fine car, but in my eyes we already have that car in the game...
I'm glad we have an F1 car again, but this whole pattern of making specific F1 cars one and done is getting really old. By that I mean we got 1-2 Ferrari F1s in GT5, then we had a Mercedes in GT6 (or GTS?) and so forth. Can we please get some cumulative momentum/collections here?! I've been traveling a lot of late and since the mentioned races series events above, have only had time to post up a new Time Trial time. Otherwise I don't really see myself being able to play much until middle of next week. Side note: Taking the C63 to Tail of the Dragon (and other twisties) this coming weekend. Gonna be grrrrrrrrrrrrreat

Bumping this back up!
^So turns out (at least to me) that the stock GT4 understeers quite a bit. Doesn't seem too difficult to fix though. General comments... Is anyone else trying to complete all the Circuit Experiences? If so which do you find the most difficult? I seem to struggle the most on the ones with...walls, haha. Mt Panorama was a bit of a struggle and I'm having a tough time with all of the Tokyo Expressway variations. Seems like very little room for error. It was months ago, but I found La Sarthe a bit frustrating as well - though that was mostly because of the time commitment for the fast lap. I actually found Nurburgring fairly easy, and it only took about an hour to Gold it all; however I know that course very very well. As it stands now I've Golded everything in Europe, everything in the US with pavement, which leaves Asia where I still have Autopolis and some Tokyo Expressway left.

That Tokyo one is a btch. Specially the one with the 600 PP. I tried with a GR4 Mazda on SH with High rev turbo and top speed increased and best I got was 4th. Made some small mistakes but the NSX kept catching up even when the NPC pitted 3 times. I was able to never pit and have plenty of fuel. I've been doing time attacks with different vehicles ever since on different tracks, but haven't committed myself to the GR3, GR1 events or one hour. Silvia sisters menu was fun, mostly because I wiped the floor with my extreme S13 build. Haven't done the GT Vision menu or Neoclassical one.

The Tokyo ones are hard. I think I golded two of the layouts (the ones that used the STi race car). Was having a hard time with the layouts using the Z4. I haven't tried any more since then, and honestly forgot about them. Can't remember how many I've completed, but I'm assuming half of all tracks???

^^For Tokyo I was referring to the Circuit Experiences. Though I agree with you WRT to the actual set up races.
^The first one (looking left to right) with the WRX is a bitch, at least for me. Still haven't golded it. I've golded one of the Supra ones, and I think one of the Z4 ones as well. Sidenote: hate that damn Z4's handling.
