And the winner is...

Lol....Perhaps someday, but for now, I will continue to focus on learning how to drive (...fast).

It was taken at NOLA Motorsports Park. I was probably doing around 90 mph. When I finally get a full album up from that day, I'll be sure to post a link here.

Updated once more with an end of the year thoughts, some pictures from July, and the one upgrade in the second half of the year...

Thanks for reading and hope everyone has a happy new year and a great 2014.

@akuhei nice bro, I've been autocrossing my car religiously. So you're getting out the Navy?

I want to AutoX, but it seems the closest group is nearly 3 hours away (either new orleans or dothan AL, both about the same distance away). I just cant justify the trip for it.

As for the Navy, my end of service was December 23rd, so I am completely done. Maybe when I move and find a new job, I will be closer to some AutoX and tracks to go have fun at.

Ah, no shit... I just made first, prob gonna do 20 now... :/ that sucks you're not closer to an autox group, did you check to see if there is a scca group? Autox is awesome, moderate speed, low risk to damaging your car, and lots of fun!! Where do you plan on going now that you're done?

There is a group..and they play in either biloxi or new orleans or dothan, closest being nearly 2 hours away. Have checked regularly for the past year or so to try and find something reasonably near by.

I made 1st too, and found out while I was in TAP class. I just didnt want to do another 10 years of being out to sea, so here I am. I plan on finding a job with less travel (or at least travel closer to home) and hopefully I can make my mark quickly and start moving up (or at least making more money). I plan on using my electronics technician background to further help me out in finding a job (so really just doing the same thing for a different company).

Well bro, good luck out there in the real world, haha. If you ever make it to Jacksonville hit me up, at least in the next nine months...hopefully I get picked back up for the GW, I applied this month...back to sea

Thanks, hopefully something will pop up soon.

I am jealous that you are going out to NOLA. Really wish I could be out there too. Oh well, will be there (or some track) asap when I get settled again. Let me know how it goes and have fun.

Sent from the past.

I look forward to getting you ready to go and hearing the results. NOLA is a great track for your first track event. The only place you can really get into trouble is tracking out too far in the final corner as there is a wall you can get into.

Keep an eye on the Gulf Coast SCCA Region. I know they are working with their two new locations owners to hopefully open up future events to more members. I think they are limiting entrants and doing invites only for the events in Pensacola and Niceville. I was lucky enough to get to drive one of their events thanks to a friend, but if you really want to do AutoX, then I would recommend contacting them and getting involved. They do events on the other side of Mobile as well at Sunny South Raceway.
