STI Brembos.
!!!UPDATE!!! PRICE DROP TO $1000 8.3.2015.
Cincinnati, Ohio This is a complete rebuilt/refinished FRONT Brembo kit for your FRS/BRZ. They are 2004 WRX STI FRONT takeoffs sourced from Japan. The bleeders have been swapped and are a direct bolt on. All you need on top of this kit is rotors, pads (for a 2004 WRX STI) and SS brake lines (optional, stock brake lines fit). List of what was done: -inspected and split. -all threads checked and tapped. Any damaged threads were professionally machined and replaced with Time-Sert fasteners. -internal crossover seals replaced with new EPDM o-rings -bleeders swapped to maintain correct sequential piston orientation. -pistons checked with digital calipers to verify OE dimensions. -calipers rebuilt with new Brembo seals. -shoe cleats were refurbished and reinstalled with new stainless hardware that exceeds OEM specs. -caliper halves torqued to spec using copper anti seize -calipers were sand blasted and coated to 04-07 STI Brembo Gold. Paint is an EXACT match. See side by side photos of paint match next to original. What comes with it? -BRAND NEW OEM Subaru cross pins, cotter pins, tension plates, bleeders, AND diagonal brake shoe shims (oe STI anti squeal shims) -BRAND NEW authentic Brembo piston seals, piston dust boots, and bleeder caps. -NEW caliper bolts with anti seize packet supplied -instructions on installation, product recommendation for pads and rotors. -certificate of compliance from third party BEB Quality Consulting verifying that calipers meet specifications and acceptance criteria. Price is $1000. GOLD ONLY For those wondering I have been running these rebuilt brakes on my own daily driver for over 10k miles with absolutely zero issues issues or failures. I have completed 2 auto-x days and a track day worth of use on my set. I have built 4 other kits that are currently on the road (all between 2 weeks and 12 months) with zero issues as well. Have confidence that these are properly rebuilt and safe. I take a lot of pride in my work. Thanks for the look. -Sam Last edited by xkalelx; 08-03-2015 at 06:44 AM. |

What hardware are you using when you are reassembling the two halves?
What are you torquing them to? |

Stock hardware is being used. Bolts are stripped, cleaned, and inspected before reuse. All threads chased with a die to ensure they are clean and problem free. I have yet to run into any quality issues with reusing the M12 8.8 bolts on the halves. The M6 hardware fastening the pad cleats is all replaced with 316 stainless hardware and blue (med) lock tight. (see photo)
M12 caliper half bolts were lightly coated with copper anti seize (to reduce galvanic corrosion and safeguard against stripping threads) and torqued to 55ft/lbs. A copy of the torque wrench calibration certificate will be provided with each kit. Torque information reference for those curious: https://www.fastenal.com/content/fed...0Fasteners.pdf and http://www.spirol.com/library/sub_ca...cations_us.pdf I had my structural engineer run the numbers and we came out with close to the same numbers for this application. Also determined anything over 80ft/lbs would be potentially stripping threads out. Thanks for the look! Sam |

Right now I'm set up to do paint only. Powder would run an extra $100 because I would have to go outside for that to be done. You can PM me a paint code or mail me a paint chip for any color you like. Another option is I sell you a discounted set that is sand blasted that you would powder yourself. Thanks for the look.

i was asking if there's any data on performance. For example, how breaking distance is increased/reduced, longevity...etc etc vs stock break system. Out of curiosity of course. It's on my list of things to mod on my car in the near future. I mostly post off of my tablet so I dont always think to make things clear when i'm feeling lazy...
