Only difference is the WiFi router. But I’m willing to take the chance.

The starter was a pain to swap though, you had to pretty much disassemble the starter to get it out and assemble the new one in place.
This triggered some random thoughts....

WAY back in the day, I was on a large 3rd gen f-body (Camaro/Firebird) forum. Someone figured out that the Trooper 3.2L (and 3.5?) had the same bolt pattern as GM's 2.8/3.1/3.4 v6s. Even the car's motor mounts worked. It was almost a drop-in for the Cam/bird, and it gained ~40 hp (over base). Probably off on the details, haven't thought about this in over a decade. Anyway, the same dude later bought a Z28 and yanked the 5.7L to install a 2.0L turbo Ecotec. He took some hate for that one, but it went faster.

Good times with the mullet crowd. One dude was restoring a car, stripping away a crappy bondo job. He found a sandwich buried in a dent.
Someone else built a drag car and found a giant bag of coke when they gutted it.
Another did an all confederate flag interior. Yes, he looked like the guy from Tiger King.
A 15-year-old girl did a serious resto-mod with her dad (entirely stripped/dipped/coated, great build), posted great pics almost daily. It was a super popular thread as it was neat to watch the process, plus "she's hot!" Then she painted it pink and threw giant chrome donk wheels on it and got flamed.

Makes me wonder if exotic owners come here to laugh at the shenanigans of us poor folk....

Haha. I was thinking because when my parents bought their current home, they didn’t realize the messes they’d need to be cleaning up that the previous owner’s tenants left behind.

It’s a good thing to consider!

Yup, that’s all they do. But for what it’s worth I think the difference is only substantially noticeable when you begin to learn to trail brake.

ended up with a number of medical issues inducing when it wasn't needed, still dealing with it from time to time yet, specifically when they had 2 more kids. the medical bills to have the other 2 kids were significantly higher because of c-section and inducing methods used with their first seriously screwed up her body...

just let it happen!

But I did some back of the napkin calculations and realized (what I really already knew but had ignored) that I've probably paid at least $1500 over the past 9 years of renting that equipment. So I did some research and just ordered my own. It'll be like $350 or so up front but as long as I use it for 5-10 years that'll be a huge cost-savings. *

* as long as I don't have issues setting it up, since of course they say they can't support non-rented equipment (even if it's the exact same thing they'd be renting anyway!)
it's not as hard as they make it out to be. i did the same thing. comcast around me charges $10/mo for modem rental. with the modem/router i got, if i made it last 3 years, i'd break even. i'm at 4 years. so anything over is essentially 'free'.

be sure to get a battery backup, even just the cheapest one staples sells. it helps significantly with power fluctuations, and extends the lifespan of the modem.

I think I've been paying $10-15 for the modem rental, and then I've also been paying maybe $5/mo for a basic cable box I don't even use (whenever the last time was that I haggled for a super cheap deal they made me tack it on, which I'm SURE means I didn't actually get a super cheap deal ._.).

Dang, that's a good tip on the battery! I'll make sure I order/pick one up once I'm moved in and set up.

To think, once upon a time you had to rent your phone! For the hard line... Still cheaper over a decade than the usual life of an iPhone...

I just upgraded my home network. Security and stability. POE so all power is in one place and on battery. So much better, and what I used to have was good. WiFi in the city is a pain with the houses so close (5-6' between, 25'x125' lots, and some multifamily units just a couple doors down either side)

Speaking of, I have some network stuff to sell.

Also, if you are in the delivery room, you will be completely useless and in the way. Just remember to say, "I love you, you are the best.". Be prepared to see things that...., Well, just be prepared. Also " You look wonderful" helps.
