Ya, just looked it up, too bad, that section is one of my favorites, really like blasting up the hill from the xmas tree farm hairpin. I do like how it's nice and quiet though.

Nooooooo....

Wish I could join you for this, but I am busy Fri and then leaving for vacation on Sat...

I’m meeting @BigFatFlip at 10am to go for a drive tomorrow. He will be full of corned beef hash by then, so maybe that’ll help me keep up with his Focus RS.

Decided to "work from home" this morning and made the trek from Sac to Orinda to get some corned beef hash. After getting disappointed to see that they had ran out, I needed the drive to pick me up.

Thankfully, redwood-pinehurst-grizzly peak didn't disappoint. I forgot how much I miss this road. It was just like getting reacquainted with an old friend. The turns just start flowing back into my head and muscle memory just starts to take over. I guess all those lunch time drives just had me programmed. I really like how quiet redwood is now that it's partly closed, makes the pops n burbles even more audible! Had to get around a handful of cyclists, but other than that, it was all clear.

Thanks @TofuJoe for keeping me company. Looked like the 350Z that was coming the other was as good of a time as we were lol.

WTF. That's like McDonalds running out of burgers, or Hang Ten running out of Spam musubi. It just shouldn't be physically possible.

Good times! It was fun hearing all of those exhaust pops and crackles driving behind your RS. I had a little puckering moment in a wet turn coming up Wildcat Canyon, but no problem...LOL

And man, the views on Grizzly Peak were nice today. Driving this route once a week or so is a nice ritual.

Did the Redwood Dr. drive (lol) from the Oakland entrance up to Moraga this last weekend. Since most of it was closed it was the only option coming from the south. That and also my friend was taking her Miata on a twistie road for the first time since she bought it! A good 30 min drive, long enough that you can enjoy it but short enough that you dont get too exhausted. I myself havnt driven a road like that in a while and i just had a flex fuel kit installed so i was running the entire way on E85. Car felt fantastic and i really missed the feeling of nailing turn after turn.

My takeaway however...i need to get rid of these Sumitomo HTZ iii. Decently good wheel for daily driving, but you really start to notice its short comings especially in back to back hard turns. Car felt a bit...wobbly. And i'm attributing that to the weaker sidewall everyone complains about. Will probably throw some Dunlop DiRezza Starspecs on there when i can save some moolah.
