I talked to DSS re axle, and both they and EFI mentioned it's unlikely it got damaged due to design. Clip can be retrieved with a magnet if it's still inside when axle is pulled out. DSS is sending spare clips now to have ready for Tuesday at @PrimeMotoring.

This should get sorted out on Tuesday.

Looks like i have the same problem. I have dss axles and kaaz 1.5way diff.

Will follow break in procedures to the letter.

Thanks!
As far as I know, the stock diff is identical between AT and MT, I can't see a single reason why an aftermarket one would be transmission specific.

In a FWD gearbox, I can totally see that. Probably a copy/paste error more than hard requirement.

Its just typical Japanese coverage of application. The product was developed around the manual transmission differential.

For instance, the ND manual gearbox differential is significantly sized differently than the automatic. Its safer to clarify what the unit was designed around than for a customer to find out the hard way.

my car did the same thing after its first track day. I took it into the dealer for documentation and evaluation. They drained the fluid and concluded that there was no crush washer installed. Must have been that way from the factory because I'd never had it off. definitely strange though.

I am having the same issue, but what is causing the axle to move in and out anyway? my circlips arent broken. i have tried 3.

for me its the right axle only. i replaced the diff with a new one and its still happening. the axle goes in just fine and clips in, but after a short drive it has popped loose again. DSS 600HP axles.

If you don't mind... what was the issue with the inner shaft? I have been plagued with this same issue of axle leaking/popping out for 2 years now.

Diff was leaking fluid from both axles. There was some play in both axles where I could slide them in and out. I took out the diff and it looks like maybe the clips for both axles are broken? I'm not sure, but the clips have a pretty good gap. Does this look broken to anyone?

I'm having trouble embedding an image from my phone. If the link doesn't work work I'll try something else.
